We recently had some donations made to our animal sanctuary and our clinic isn't used to dealing w/Chinese herbs. Perhaps they have on for pets herbs too. Which herbs are good for animals and which are not, is not something that we are normally exposed to in schools, and I would venture to say that whatever information you find on line is only the unofficial observations of some modern-day vets. There is no history of herbal medicines for " pets " (other than beasts of burden or cash crops) since the concept of " pet " is kind of new to begin with. You'd think that there'd be something out there on dogs, though. They're thought to have developed as a domesticated animal in Asia. Also, the products that you mention, the brand names are not as important as the ingredients in assessing their appropriateness for pets. -al. Guest guest Posted October 30, 2009 Report Share Posted October 30, 2009 Viola 12 is used to tonify the qi, clear heat, resolve toxic swelling, used for immune deficiciency disorders complicated by swellings or chronic infections, lymph mode swelling of unknown origin, adjunct to cancer therapies. It is intended for a course of therapy lasting a few weeks, which may be repeated as deemed apropriate.
