I am looking for easy-to-read books about Traditional , herbal

aspects of it, classification of foods, and introduction to meridians. Usually,

I order books on Amazon, but on these topics there are too many to choose from.

Ideally, I would like to find easy-to read self-help books written in good

literary style with real-life stories and historical prospective.

Redwing books has many books available, both for the practitioner and the

layperson. ?They do a fairly good job of describing the books also. A good

beginner book on Chinese Mdincine in general is the Web that has no weaver by

Ted Kaptchuk. ? More specific and awesome sources of information are Giovanni

Maciocha's The foundations of , A Manual of Acupuncture by Peter

Deadman, and for herbs The Chinese Herbal Medicine Materica Medica and Chinese

Herbal Medicine?Formulas and Strategies and for the energetics of foods Healing

with Whole foods by Paul Pitchford. ? None of these books are easy reading,

?they are reference books but these are enough to make you realize this is not

something you really want to take on without guidance. ?I would recommend that

you find a practitioner to see who can then explain the medicine in reference to

your particular situation and give you tools that you can use at home to help

with the particular imbalances that you often encounter. ? Diagnosis is key,

without that it's all guesswork. ?Wishing you the best in health, ?Regina
