Everybody's different. Usually maybe three days to a week, depending. How long have you had them?

A paste mixture of castor oil and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)will take care of warts, moles, corns or calluses. This is an Edgar Cayce recommendation that really works. Massage the mixture into the warts daily and cover with a bandage.

Just take a small amount of castor oil and add enough baking soda to

make a firm paste. Too little baking soda will make it too runny. I

have used this on moles and my daughter has used it on warts (it may

take quite a while so keep it on and covered with a bandage to keep

it off of your clothes).

Hello,

Warts are virus, but a good anti-fungal can handle them.

Black Walnut Hull and Garlic have been known to handle warts

beautifully.

I have a friend who has a daughter who is 12 years old and has multiple warts

all over her hands including the palms. What causes this condition (from a TCM

standpoint) and what can be done (nutrition, herbs) that can alleviate this

problem?

Thanks!

From a TCM standpoint, warts can look like phlegm nodules, blood stagnation,

or something else that doesn't occur to me right now. (there's always THAT!

ha.)

Therapeutically, the only (TCM) thing that I've run into for wart removal is

not much different from the liquid wart-removers that you can find at drug

stores available as an over-the-counter topical solution.

The herb " ya dan zi " is ground up, then placed on the wart and held in place

with a band-aid. In time, over the course of a week, give or take, the wart

will magically disappear. Well, it isn't that magical, actually it is a

somewhat uncomfortable slow melting away of the outer layers of the skin,

which goes deeper and deeper to address the wart.

I would think that this would be difficuilt for warts on the hand where

there are more nerves, but that's for the 12 year old to decide, I guess.

This approach is somewhat uncomfortable. If your friend is really adverse to

over-the-counter products, there's the ya dan zi (available at RAW herb

stores, not extract powders to my knowledge). However, the over-the-counter

product is easier to control too, thanks to its applicator aparatus etc.

The other approach may be to look at this as a virus and look for anti-viral

herbs that make sense for the patient. This would require more information

than has been provided here, but I have a couple of little tiny warts that

appear now and then on my thumb and index finger. I notice that they seem to

come and go. I'm guessing (I haven't really paid enought attention to know)

that they arive with fatigue or some other deficiency. Might be something to

consider for the 12 year old, just to put her on a nice tonic formula and

see if that will control the virus.

By the way, the use of these anti-wart topicals is a temporary fix only.

Warts have a tendency to reappear, so the tonic formulas may provide a

better fix that last long-term and also benefits the patient in other ways

as well.

Wind. Don't sleep with the window open.

The best cure for warts is placebo. I tell them to rub the inside of a

banana peel on it before bed. This causes them to eat the banana, which has

alot of tryptophan to help them sleep and will cause them to poop the next

morning.

Another treatment is to take a dead cat to a cemetery at midnight during a

full moon. Go the the center of the cemetery and swing the cat in a counter

clockwise motion in a circle, holding it by it's tail. Say the Lord's

Prayer backwards, and when you finish, let go of the cat's tail and send it

flying. Do not look where it lands. Look down and exit the cemetary.
