It takes longer, because it 880nm the penetration is

not as deep as the 1.5W which is 950nm which makes it

a little better for orthopedic problems. For diabetic

neuropathy the are probably the same

I'm still a student and would like to know if anyone can suggest a laser as

there are several on the market these days and at varying prices. I have several

friends who are afraid of needles and will not go to an acupuncturist. I have

been curious about lasers for a while now and have decided to buy one. Any

suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Lesa

There are some manufacturers and sources listed at these articles:

http://gancao.net/ht/cts.shtml#6

The author of these articles mentions John Hubacher in the first link there.

I know him to be a good guy with excellent products.

Another new age fad to make a buck that will do no good and will only cause harm

to people.

Before getting into lasers it may be wise to check with your state and make sure

that the use of lasers is considered to be within your scope of practice. In

some states it is not...

You may also consider FDA-approved LED arrays, which are OK to be used

by anyone, including use of patients for self-therapy.
