Guest guest
Does anyone know what herbs/pill formula would be the strongest and quickest to drain phlegm/water out of the stomach?I have a lump of i dont know if its water or phlegm in my stomach. If i press on my stomach its hard and i get gurgling sounds in there but not digestion related and i never have gurgling from digestion/after eating.Theres slight pain but only if i press on it and the lump goes all the way to the solar plexus and if i hit it it feels sort of like when you tense your stomach muscles. It feels like if i had a heat pack that really could penetrate heat that if i placed it on that stomach area that then water come out sort of like having wet yourself feeling if that makes sense. Whats the best herbs for getting rid of it please? (I also have yellow tongue coat plus congested phlegm over chest, head, many hard lumps etc)

Also, the strength of the formula is also subject to the form and manufacturer. So, purchasing those little itty-bitty " teapills " over the counter is not going to give you as much of a hit as something in capsules (depending again on the contents of the capsules.) The formula you're looking for is called Ping Wei San. > I have a lump of i dont know if its water or phlegm in my stomach. If i > press on my stomach its hard and i get gurgling sounds in there but not > digestion related and i never have gurgling from digestion/after > eating.Theres slight pain but only if i press on it and the lump goes all > the way to the solar plexus and if i hit it it feels sort of like when you > tense your stomach muscles. > Generally speaking, if something is worse when you press on it, that's an excess condition. (as opposed to deficiency). > It feels like if i had a heat pack that really could penetrate heat that if > i placed it on that stomach area that then water come out sort of like > having wet yourself feeling if that makes sense. > No, not really. I believe you're saying that you crave heat? > > Whats the best herbs for getting rid of it please? > > (I also have yellow tongue coat plus congested phlegm over chest, head, many > hard lumps etc) > Well, since the symptoms actually speak of a subjective " lump " in the abdomen, I would suggest trying " ban xia xie xin tang " (Pinellia Drain the Epigastrum Decoction). It is for these lmpy sensations. It is partially for phelgm/damp, but you have no problems after eating, rather it is a sensation of hardness. " Drain the Epigastrium " means get rid of that stuff you're experiencing. You also asked: One of my TCM brand of pills are Lanzhou Foci and they appear rather weak. The herbs in most of their formulas range from approximately 27mg at the very most to only 2.5mg.Most of my other brand formulas are aproximately 40-250 mg.Would it be ok to take more then the standard dose with the Lanzhou Foci brand ones? Probably okay to increase the dosage. Quantities and weights are only part of the story, you gotta look at the concentration too, which you probably don't have access to. I believe that you're talking about those little peppercorn sized tea pills. These are extremely weak. I routinely double the dosages on these, but only when I'm forced to use them. Otherwise, I favor larger stronger manufacturers' formulas. -al. -- , DAOM Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.
Guest guest
Thankyou Al.I have phlegm pretty much everywhere-very hard congested over my chest and solar plexus, nodules in my neck and also feels to be deeper in my neck -perhaps in my arteries. Its also in my head, plumpit qi,back, muscles in arms, big and small lumps in chest etc. I have many neuro/psych symptoms and over 50+ medications from different classes havnt helped at all.Im wondering if i could have turbid phlegm and phlegm misting the mind. The reason why im wanting to drain the water/phlegm lump in my stomach is because i read that having this could stop the clear yang from rising(sorry if i dont have the right terminology this is just what i read) and this is what i feel is happening. Ive tried taking Er Chen Wan and wen dan Tang but only a very small amount seems to move and its not fast enough because my symptoms are really severe. Would you know if taking any phlegm formula could actually make the symptoms worse because of by having the lump in the stomach could it cause the phlegm that is been unblocked by the formula to rise back up towards my head if that makes sense because when i took a formula-qingfei huatan wan-afterwards i got really big episodes or my symptoms and i could feel phlegm moving/releasing in back of throat Also is it ok to take yin tonic too because of the phlegm being hard and stuck with no cough etc do i need something to provide moisture in my body to loosen it and also because the phlegm formulas can be drying Thankyou Mary

Focus on that and the clear yang will naturally rise and turbid yin will naturally descend. > Ive tried taking Er Chen Wan and wen dan Tang but only a very small amount > seems to move and its not fast enough because my symptoms are really severe. > Both of these are good for you, but in larger amounts (than what?) and for a longer period of time (ala months, not days). > > Would you know if taking any phlegm formula could actually make the > symptoms worse because of by having the lump in the stomach could it cause > the phlegm that is been unblocked by the formula to rise back up towards my > head if that makes sense because when i took a formula-qingfei huatan > wan-afterwards i got really big episodes or my symptoms and i could feel > phlegm moving/releasing in back of throat > I suspect you're over-thinking this. If the formula doesn't help you feel good once, wait a few days, half the dosage and try again. It is easy to generate a nocebo response sometimes. Nocebo means your fears/concerns become side-effects, not due to the herbs but your expectations. A nocebo is a placebo side effect. If the problem arises again, just don't take the formula. If you were working with a practitioner, you can track down which herb is causing problems. However I am not sure that the problem is in the formula. > Also is it ok to take yin tonic too because of the phlegm being hard and > stuck with no cough etc do i need something to provide moisture in my body > to loosen it and also because the phlegm formulas can be drying > That's reasonable thinking, but I would favor the use of " chuan bei mu " formulas that essentially do what you're thinking. It " transforms phlegm " and " generates fluids " . There's a popular cough syrup called " chuan bei pi pa gao " that achieves that goal. In dry herb form, look for " bei mu gua lou san " . -al. -- , DAOM Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.
