Hi-

I understand the following herbs are great for the flu/cold season. I

would like to find out if anyone else uses these botanical herbs to

prevent and treat cold/flu bugs. Also, I'm looking for recommendations

on where to find these herbs in supplement form (good quality).

Thanks, Nicole

Forsythia Suspense

Lonicera Japonicus

Glycyrrhizae Uralensis

Platycondon grandiflorum

phragmites communis

arctium lappa

menta arvensis

You're describing a formula called " yin qiao san " or " lonicera and forsythia

powder " or " Honeysuckle and Forsythia Powder " .

Try searching for those terms, you should be able to find it in capsule

form, pills, tablets, etc.

Thanks so much for your reply Al!

I will search, in the meantime, would you happen to have a few

reputable sources that you could recommend for shopping on the web (for

chinese herbs, remedies, etc.) just in general?

There seem to be a lot of sources, and this is my first time looking

into this.

Thank you for your help.

There are many sources. The best versions in my opinion are the capsules

that come from Blue Poppy or Evergreen. There are some manufacturers such as

Mayway and others who make these little " teapills " that look like large

black BBs or peppercorns. I think that they're kind of weak, but okay if you

double the dosage on the label.

I have no financial interest in any of these companies, and encourage others

to chime in with their favorites too.

Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.
