Hello - I was hoping to get some suggestions regarding a patient. He is 11 yrs

old and in the past year he has started walking stiff and body gets tense in

certain situations. His neck gets really tight and his left hand

clenches. Some times when he gets excited, other times if he gets sad and/or

anxious. He has no other s & s to report. He has had all blood tests,

neurological tests done and they have all come back negative.

Not sure what direction to go in.

Check his posture and gate. Make sure both his legs are the same length,

from ground to medial malleolus, medial malleolus to patella and patella

to greater trochanter. Make sure his feet are not pronated.

Ask if he has had any injuries, even minor to his feet, legs, hips, back

or head.

Consider this as liver wind. Probably aggravated by stress. Might want to

consider a cognitive therapy too (ala talk, psychotherapy, counseling, etc.)
