Hiyas, all.

 

We get a few new rs to this list every week and many offer up a

question or two when they describe their reasons for joining.

 

Some of these questions are really worthy of posting, and so I'm going to

start to go ahead and post them as they come up, so we can have a steady

stream of good questions. Here's one from a new r:

 

I am a recent graduate of Red Mountain Institute for the healing Arts

and would love to join this group for guidance and information on

building my business.

 

I would just like to say that my own observation of those who have the

greatest success out of the gate when going into private practice is that

those with an existing social network do the best.

 

In other words, if all of your friends and acquaintances are associated with

the healing school that you attended, you aren't likely to build a practice

on that. However if you also belong to a square dancing group, or bowling

league, or stamp collecting group, you've got a built-in patient base.

 

If you don't belong to any particular group from which you can get patients,

consider joining a group that does something that you enjoy aside from your

work in health care. These are the people who can get to know you better and

eventually trust you enough to talk about their urogenital issues, etc...
