Guest guest
One of my relatives had a minor uterine surgery few days ago (sample taken for cancer test). She's fine except started having genital itching. I have these convenient mini-moxa sticks and thought placing them at points like sp6, sp9, liv8 might help with the itching. Then I changed my mind because I wasn't sure how moxibustion (heat) interacted with the healing wound from the surgery. What do you think would be a good household remedy? (She's in contact with her doctor, too). Thanks, Tamas Kenez
Guest guest
Heat activates blood movement which can lead to bleeding... or lead to quickened healing. Pick one. Still, if you want to do something, consider Spleen 10 and that extra point something like 2 inches (cun) above Spleen 10. What's that called, something like " 100 insects " (Bai Chong?). its an extra point used exclusively for itching. Spleen 10 is a close neighbor and a point that deals with blood and uterine stuff. So this is probably the point(s) to really focus on. -al. Guest guest
Sorry I haven't followed this thread, but likely they gave her an antibiotic which is causing a minor yeast infection, at least need a probiotic and likely additional herbs for some damp heat in the lower.... Guest guest
GB 32-33 ,SP 10 like Al mentioned and the ear allergy point at the apex could help the itching and moves the blood to a faster healing process... Dr R
