Guest guest
One more very important herb to add...in fact in the Ben Cao, this herb is listed in the SUPERIOR HERB CLASS, as the #1 herb in the pharmacopia...above even Ginseng....and there are 6 different versions of this, based one color-element. LING ZHI (GANODERMA LUCIDUM) - REISHI MUSHROOM This is the king herb fo supporting the righteous qi. Here are some great combinations: Ling Zhi + Bu Zhng Yi Qi Tang - Supports Righteous Qi - Builds Blood / Jing Ling Zhi + Huang Qi - A personal Dui Yao combination I use often - Ling Zhi Bolsters qi, While Huang Qi Raises Qi - Ling Zhi may be used like Dang Gui as in Dang Gui Bu Xue Tang, combined with Huang Qi, one supports the qi in the blood, the othed supports the blood in the qi. Here's another powerhouse to support zhen qi: Ling Zhi- 20% Dong Chong Xi Cao- 20% Huang Qi - 20% Hong Jing Tian - 20% Wu Jia Pi - 20% This formula is a incredible qi tonic...for those that may run too warm: 16.6% Reishi, Cordyceps, Astrag, Rhodiola, Sib Ginseng + 16.6 % Mai Men Dong Tang Ling Zhi Ling Zhi is still may favorite multi-purpose supporting herb...although the Ben Cao described it as coming in 6 different colors, the 2 main colors are Black & Red. Black being focusing more on the Kidney yin & Yang / Jing, and Red, supporting the fire element in the heart yin/yang. Green, Yellow, White, and Purple--so far I have not found---but would be great to support Wood, Earth, Metal, and Purple---this is an additional Ling Zhi color that would be most likely used as well as Red, to support the Heart System. Hong Jing Tian This herb is in the Rose family, and varies from the climate and terrain it grows. Siberia, Sweden, and Tibet all boast to have the best Rhodiola in the world. There is an ex-Russian soldier that fought in Afghanistan in the 80's, who said that it is the best herb in Russia for post-traumatic stress disorder and depression, and considers it the best adoptogen in the world. The Tibetan also have there own speciesa of Rhodiola that is most likely closer to what the CHiense use. Here is an old adage that many have said: " While Ginseng is the King of herbs, Rhodiola is the herb of Kings... " There is a legend that during the Emperor of China wold send envoys to find the best Rhodiola in all the land... DS
