Hi all, I am new to this forum...

To all herbalists out there who write herbal formulas, I have an

interesting case coming up...this is a male who tends to leans towards

a damp-qi xu constitution. Many years ago during a surgery, his spleen

was accidentally cut, and later over the last decade has formed a

significant amount of scar tissue.

His WBC count is low. Everything else on the blood panel is normal.

Left Middle: Slippery, Middle

I am writing this email, not get make a differeential diagnosis, but

to possibly now which herbs, have been shown to increase WBC count.

I will list the ones that I have come up with so far:

Formulas:

Si Wu Tang

Dang Gui Bu Xue Tang

Herbs

1.

PS For about 10 yrs now, I have been using New Zealand Lu Rong in my

practice during the Winter time as a Kidney Jing tonic to my patients.

I find the New Zealand Antler to be especially desireable, since they

treat there animals with humanity. If I give Lu Rong to men in the

winter, I may combine it with Mai Men Dong Tang to cool it

down---possibly 1-3gm of Lu Rong per day + 6-9gm of Mai Men Dong Tang.

3. Wu Jia Pi (Siberian Ginseng)

4. Hong Jing Tian

5. He Shou Wu

6. Dang Gui

7. Huang Qi

This list is by far not exaustive at all. Just a sampling of some of

the herbs & formulas I use in my clinic to increase WBC's...

STEP 1: Make diff Dx (* Pulse is key)

STEP 2: Use base formula (if you want)

STEP 3: Modify with Special herbs listed above...
