Guest guest
Hi, my name is Tyler and I was seeing an acupuncturists to treat my depression/anxiety disorder and after doing 8 treatments he also had me on a herb medication can't remember the name but i must say it worked wonders for the first month or so. My moods were stable and my anxiety went away and I felt great for the first time in a long time, but I feel now that my depression is slowly creeping back on me after about 1 month after doing the 8 sessions. Just wondering why this is? Did I not have enough treatment to completely cure the ailment? Will I need to go for more sessions? I don't really want to go back to traditional antidepressants because I don't seem to respond well to them. Please help..

The most common thing that causes depression is liver qi stagnation. Stay active and get plenty of sunshine and fresh air. Don't think negative thoughts. Brooding over negative thoughts itself can stagnate your qi.
Guest guest
By the way, harboring negative emotions, holding them in has the same amount of negative health effects as a PACK AND A HALF OF CIGARETTES PER DAY. So if you've got emotional issues that you're holding in or suppressing, you really have to get that out. Guest guest
Cool. In my experience, acupuncture and herbs excel in areas of anxiety and depression. It's really great that we can address these types of discomforts without loading someone up on Western meds. (Western meds are a great thing to have as an option, but they are over-prescribed and can involve detrimental effects. Nice to know there are options other than allopathic medicine.) Uninvited here, but perhaps consider a good witness counseling-wise. Even a great friend who can identify and help with the rough spots. (Just saw a trailer for the Pixar film " Wall E. " (no endorsements!) This is one of my therapies right now. Laughter!!!) All the Best!
