Guest guest
Do you know any of these pulse books? I'd like to know which would be the best for me. Zheng-Hong Lin: Pocket Atlas of Pulse Diagnosis Leon I Hammer: Chinese Pulse Diagnosis - A Contemporary Approach Walsh, King: Pulse Diagnosis - A Clinical Guide I'm about to order my next set of chinese medicine books and I need one about the pulse. I'm studying alone as a hobby and I know pulse diagnosis can only be learned in supervised clinical practice. But still I like to learn the basics. Thanks, Tamas
Guest guest
I would recommend starting with the sources - the Mai Jing (Pulse Classic) by Wang Shuhe, and the Study of the Pulse by Li Shizhen. I've found it's generally a good idea in TCM to start with the classics, even if they are more challenging to read. This gives a basic context from which you can use more modern explanatory texts to build. Hope that helps! Adria Amenti, LAc
