Hello there,

Is there a difference between Berberine Hydrochloride and Huang Lian

Su?

Am I correct that Huang Lian Su contains Berberine but is not pure

Berberine whereas Berberine Hydrochloride is 100% extracted Berberine?

Does anyone know where I could purchase Berberine Hydrochloride in the US?

Thanks!

I have no idea where one would purchase Berberine HCL. This doesn't sound to

me like something that should be readily available to consumers.

However, Huang Lian Su is probably the highest concentration of Berberine

that you can find in something available over the counter. I'm not clear on

the manufacturing process involved with Huang Lian Su, but I conceive of it

being huang lian ground up and infused with that Berberine HCL to make it

more potent.

This is one of those toys that you really shouldn't play with lacking the

appropriate presentation. This medicine is for yellow, explosive diarrhea

that burns the anus and has a strong odor. Mmmm... *damp heat.* :) Some

will describe this as a bacterial infection in the large intestine. That

would also be correct.

If you want to get fancy, you can also add it to formulas to help address

Heart Fire which would look like restlessness that arrives with stomach or

intestinal problems (yellow coat, perhaps a rapid pulse, likely an excessive

pulse too).

Thank you for your reply.

Berberine HCL is readily available in China and it is the substance

that has been used in many of the studies that are cited by Huang Lian

Su advertisements.

Berberine HCL is sold as follows:

If anyone knows anything else about what is actually contained in

Huang Lian Su, please respond.
