Guest guest
Advertising is NOT allowed on Chinese Traditional Medicine. I started Chinese Traditional Medicine as a way of helping relatives and friends in another part of the country learn the basics of TCM. I got a lot of help from TCM. Help I would have gotten sooner had I known about TCM. I reasoned that if others had a place to learn about TCM, they'd be more likely to seek out TCM treatment. In time the group grew to include TCM students and TCM professionals as well as other healthcare professionals. The mission of the group also expanded to include things like students using the posts for review, non-TCM healthcare professionals learning the basics of TCM, and TCM professionals volunteering information and help as well as being able to trade info with each other. There is another reason for the no advertising rule. If professionals were allowed to advertise on here, soon the list would become little more than ads. There are websites and groups where TCM professionals can advertise that they're available. Chinese Traditional Medicine is NOT one of those groups. There are some things which are allowed for professionals on this group. Professionals are allowed a discreet link to their website(s) at the end of their posts beneath their names. Believe me, if readers are impressed with the info you've been posting on here, they will look you up. When a member asks if there is a professional in such-and-such geographical area or someone who knows a lot about a particular condition, professionals are allowed to respond if they practice in that area or know a lot about a particular problem. There are some other rules on here that need to be mentioned again. This is an English-speaking group. English is the common language that is understood by all on here regardless of nationality. Posts - especially their titles - are to be in English. Attachments are not allowed. This provides an additional level of security for group members. Spam is not allowed. Flaming and tolling are not allowed. Neither are threats or the advocation of illegal activities. Political and govenment discussions are not allowed UNLESS they related directly to healing. For example moves by beauracracies to restrict healthcare choice. I do have ask that members keep these to a minimun. A one-time simple notification usually is enough. Members who violate rules will be asked to stop and probably placed on moderated status. If a member continues to ignore requests to stop a particular activity, that person will be banned. If you have a post which is iffy in any of the above areas, please contact Al or myself about it before posting. Thank you.
