Timing of Herbs

If the digestive problem is due to an excess problem then take the herbs

after you eat. If it is due to deficiency problem, take the herbs before you

eat.

How can you tell the difference? By the diagnosis you were given when you

were prescribed the herbs. Lacking that, the formula name would allow a TCM

person to tell you if the formula treats excess or deficiency...

What'cha taking?

-al.

PS: I gotta ask. What's up with the " +13 " ? :)

Bojenmi tea.

My last name is S+13 more letters. It's an abbreviation my husband's

family has always used because the full name is just too darn long to write!

Okay dokay.

This tea is essentially the same ingredients as the formula that I've been

talking about so much: Po Chai pills, or curing pills. You can take that

after a meal since its function is to stimulate digestion and intestinal

peristalisis.

" S+13 " ? The longest names I know of are Polish. :)

This one is actually German. It used to be 16 letters until my

husband's grandfather shorted it to 14.

Good question anyone know when the best time to take nattokinase

I have found that most things do better in my body on an empty stomach, unless

they cause nausea - then I eat a few crackers or have ginger tea... is that

unheard of in TCM? Lexi

I don't know if I've heard of eating to limit discomfort with taking herbs

as a TCM thing, but it seems like a somewhat natural response and as such

I'm sure that it is a common remedy to stomach discomfort, after all, what

is hunger? Stomach discomfort that is addressed by eating.
