Guest guest
I see that there are several new posters, including myself. This hopefully reflects a trend towards open mindedness regarding our own personal wellness plan. I'm not sure HTML works here, so I will just introduce myself with a run-on paragraph. I'm new to TMC and have been receiving acupuncture treatments for a few months now. The conditions I'm hoping to find help with are severe knee arthritis, poor circulation causing chronic cold hands and feet primarily hot flashes associated with menopause, and overweight issues. I plan to include TMC in my healthy aging plan (I'm 57). As I read and learn, I'm able to ask questions regarding my conditions and that is primarily my reason for being in this community......to learn from others which will aid me in asking the right questions of my TMC practioner. Monday, I asked him about the main source of my issues, using my limited knowledge of the triple burners. My Dr. explained it mostly was a kidney Yin deficiency that causes menopause symptons along with the general aging processes causing the rest. When asking about nutrition therapy, he recommended fish and green vegetables should be at the top of my list of foods. In addition to the acupuncture, I have been given an herb combo called zhi bo di huang wan. I'm happy to have found this community, am always open to comments and suggestions regarding my current treatment regimen, and am delighted at the knowledge base I now have access to. Thanks for having an open door policy! Barbara
