Guest guest
Hi - I know that Oleander thins the blood somewhat, so I imagine it causes a low platelet count. Right? Is there any way to counter that problem but continue with the Oleander? My doctor is in a panic about my low platelets, and I am not telling him about the Oleander because he is rather narrow minded and the only game in town for me given that I live in Panama and need to work within " the system. " Thanks in advance. Jan
Guest guest
Hi Jan,I do not believe that Oleander causes a low platelet count. The only caution with regard to its blood thinning qualities would be to people taking blood thinners and heart medication. Even then, due to the relatively low amount of cardiac glycosides in Oleander, there is usually room to work with it if one exercises caution.I hope this answers your question.
