Ted,

I had no idea and I just happen to be hopping over there for New Years Eve. I am only three hours from Paris.

BTW thanks for the thanks but we aren't military and I can't take their rewards.

It is the military that deserves the thanks.

We travel a lot and go to all the funky places as you can see my Ted was over there or one and half years and that was his second trip.

But he is somewhat safer than the courageous militay of whom I have the greatest respect.

That is why he travels so much and won't be home long. But it goes with the work and we knew that when we took it on, and we have been doing it a long time. I think it was early 04 when he first went to Baghdad

there are a lot drawbacks: you pick up your family and move overseas...very exciting for a while. I have missed out on a lot. My dear friend died and I wasn' t there, her daughter (who is like my daughter) had a baby I haven't seen, My daughter, Susan

comes over twice a year and we travel a lot, that is the good part, the travel. But is it worth not seeing her but two or three times a year.

Christmas she brings her friends from college and they spend NYE in a different country every year.

Yes, there are perks, but I have sat here alone pretty much for a year and a half and I wonder is it worth it.

I am not getting any younger and I am missing so much. But with things the way they are in the states right now I am not sure it is a good time to go back.

We were in England when I became Ill with cancer, that was hell...I finally went back to the states for medical. My husband was in a catastrophic car accident in England that sent him back for several months, some disability he will never recover from. There is the good and the bad, I doubt that we would have changed anything. But while he is home we will have a long talk about the future.

I go back and forth, I love overseas, love the travel, the food, different cultures...then I want my own house an my own yard with a dog and a cat like we were in the long forgotten past;as the years are slipping by.

Sorry, didn't mean to write a book:-)

thanks again for the info and I will look the that when I am in Paris and will report back.

Vision cookware is also made in France, I have several pieces from there.

Good luck,

That is fantastic. What a great shopper you are, and bargain finder. My husband would thing vision ware was glasses . LOL

Maybe If I was back in the states I might find some of those fantatic buys, But I am overseas and don't tell anyone, but I love to shop:-) I learned online shopping very quickly, much to my hubby's dismay.

And for a great announcement: MY HUBBY IS COMING HOME NEXT WED. (HOME AS IN gERMANY) AFTER ONE AND HALF YEARS IN THE WAR ZONE. yaHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHH

He won't be home long before he is sent someone else, but we will have the best Christmas with my dauthter here. I am soOOOOOOOOOO looking forward to it. The year and half didn't seem so long, but the week seems like it will never get here"-)

In the best swamp yankee tradition, by visiting a couple Salvation Army stores in the past couple of months, I have put together a set of vision glass cookware for about $50 that includes 3 frying pans, 3 saucepans with lids. As long as you use a little common sense, and don't pour cold water in a hot pan, they work great.

Melly,

Could be. I forgot where I found it, I thought it was from Natural news, but total forgot, especialy

since I have had this awful sinus/ear infection. I can hardly think.

You can see what I mean about 'expensive'. Where did you see it?

I was surprised to see how inexpensive Mercola is. $600.00 for a set. The set I almost bought when I decided to post and ask for info was on sale for $1700. I actually bought it and then cancelled it as I decided to try to get some info on cookware before buying it,

thanks,

BarbaraIs this cookware called "master (salad)"? There is one such that is waterless cooking and yes very expensive. I would not pay $389.00 for one small pan, and that is what it was. I looked at several pieces and they were all that $. Someone directed me to Mercola's site and I did go there, but
