Olivier,

My heart is with you. I lost my wife, soulmate, and best friend to cancer in April, and it has been the hardest, lonliest time of my life, but it is slowly starting to get better.

Now it is all about you, and one day, one hour, if necessary, at a time. I don't know where you are, but in the US there are grief/bereavement groups, and I suggest that once you have taken care of everything, you find one that you like and join it. This has been a real help to me in working through different stages of grief.

I also suggest that you not abandon this and groups that you may have joined, as you can help others with the knowledge you have gained here, and create something positive out of this huge loss.

Please feel free to email me privately if you would like, and do not fail to take care of yourself during this stressful time.

We are all here for you,

Ted

Dear Olivier,

Please know that your Mom is no longer suffering, and is looking down

on you from beyond, and wanting you to be happy. Perhaps you can gain

solace from listening to your favorite music or hers, going to

favorite hangout, going for long walks, etc. Perhaps a new hobby would

give you a place to exert your energies right now.

Please realize that she is in a better place, and lives on. Your grief

is due to missing her, but she is not all you had. Look for her

mannerisms in people you run into, her beauty, etc. You will meet

people that remind you of her. This may be a good time for

introspection, reading, and meditating.

Hang in there!

Daniel

My thoughts and prayers are with you as I lost my Mom in 2005 but you

must go on it's hard I miss my Mom everyday but you have all the good

memories that no one can take away. She would love for you to get

involved with others with cancer and become a friend to them and maybe

that would brighten someones day plus your own

Olivier,Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers this Thanksgiving. And you know, Donna has made an excellent suggestion. My dad passed away in 2001. I also lost my mom in 2005. What I did a little bit after her death was visit retirement homes and assisted living facilities to give those without any families some type of comfort and joy. And you know..... They became my moms and dads. Many hugs, oleander soup , Donna <dscroggs44646 wrote:>> My thoughts and prayers are with you as I lost my Mom in 2005 but you > must go on it's hard I miss my Mom everyday but you have all the good > memories that no one can take away. Olivier,My condolences to you. I shall pray for you to be strong so that you may adjust to life without your Mom. I know how it feels to lose a beloved Mother. It took me a while to get over my Mom's death (from pancreatic cancer too) -- with so much sorrow and pain, but rest assured, time will heal.Take care.Mellyoleander soup, "ftfft" <micfo07 > wrote:>> Hi all,> figured i should give a final update..> > My mom who had pancreatic cancer died yesterday.> Im completely crushed and this is just beginning.> Im in for a storm like i never knew even existed.> > My mom was all i had.> > Im not saying this for any other reason that i needed> to

Olivier,

I too lost both my parents and a sister in April of this year.

My sister died of lung cancer. It's not easy losing a loved one. I still miss my mom

who's been gone 42 years! I miss my sister too so very much!

We still have those precious memories and we know that we must go on.

Our parents would want that and your mom wants that for you too.

For you to go out and find someone who needs you just as you needed your mom.

There's so many people who needs that help. Please reach out to them. You'll not

only be helping them but helping yourself through this grief.

You're in my thoughts and prayers.

God Bless,

Barbara
