Question about Hawthorne Berry Syrup and a new question about iodine

Thanks for all the suggestions. He does not drink coffee, soda or eat

chocolate. We do drink herbal teas though, which have caffeine. But he has had

the problem for alot longer than when we started the teas. I'll give him 1/2 tsp

a day of HBsyrup anyway, it can only be good for him.

He has had thyroid tests but they came out normal. I don't remember what they

actually tested for, I guess he could still have low iodine and have whatever

tests they gave him come out normal. Don't know. I think low iodine might be a

factor for him anyway.

Another question relating to iodine: A friend of ours, who's a doctor, (and who

is totally into alternative medicine) gave me a bottle of SSKI which he gets by

perscription only. It is 50mg PER DROP and it has no taste. My hsb has been

taking one drop a day for a few months. I was thinking about increasing it to

100mg a day. My friend says whatever iodine the body doesn't use just gets

eliminated by the body. But I also read that you can overstimulate the thryoid

by taking too much. Can this happen?

Thanks again, Marcia
