For diminishing cancerous tumors have you tried placing castor oil packs over the affected area? You would want to do this for about a one hour session once or twice a day.I had a very painful ovarian cyst about 10 years ago. I did a one hour long castor oil pack over the painful area and the problem cleared up immediately and has never recurred. That from just the one session! I have read of cases where castor oil packs have reversed cancer completely. Lovastatin has been shown to be especially active in its anti

cancer activity. It was originally isolated from an edible mushroom and

is found in red rice yeast (RRY). Some studies show that RRY is more

effective than the synthetic form of Lovastatin, probably due to its content of

associated isomers. It is important to take gamma vitamin E along with

RRY since it greatly enhances its activity and I think it is critical to add

Co-Q10 to any statin to overcome some of the potential side effects---especiall y

with muscles. I agree that high cholesterol is not as a serious a

condition as modern medicine would have us believe and I have resisted using

statins even though my doctor has recommended their use and issued

prescriptions. He has never been able to explain why just as many people

die of heart attacks with normal or low levels of cholesterol as those with

high levels. There are exceptions where people have a genetic

predisposition to very high cholesterol levels. However, we are talking about controlling cancer, not cholesterol

and I think one needs as many bullets in the gun as is available and hit cancer

cells from as many metabolic pathways as is possible and RRY hits an important

pathway for cancer cell survival and I will use it daily. So far, my

tumors have been shrinking and if and when they are controlled, I will probably

The statin family of drugs target HMG-CoA reductase, the rate-limiting

enzyme of the mevalonate pathway, and have been used successfully in the

treatment of hypercholesterolemi a for the past 15 years. Experimental evidence

suggests this key biochemical pathway holds an important role in the

carcinogenic process. Moreover, statin administration in vivo can provide an

oncoprotective effect. Indeed, in vitro studies have shown the statins can

trigger cells of certain tumor types, such as acute myelogenous leukemia, to

undergo apoptosis in a sensitive and specific manner. Mechanistic studies show

bcl-2 expression is down-regulated in transformed cells undergoing apoptosis in

response to statin exposure. In addition, the apoptotic response is in part due

to the depletion of the downstream product geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate, but not

farnesyl pyrophosphate or other products of the mevalonate pathway including

cholesterol. Clinically, preliminary phase I clinical trials have shown the

achievable plasma concentration corresponds to the dose range that can trigger

apoptosis of tumor types in vitro. Moreover, little toxicity was evident in

vivo even at high concentrations. Clearly, additional clinical trials are

warranted to further assess the safety and efficacy of statins as novel and

immediately available anti-cancer agents. In this article, the experimental

evidence supporting a role for the statin family of drugs to this new

application will be reviewed.

Hi Nili,

 

I am going to copy and paste part of a reply I made to a previous post just

the other day. These are the side effects:

 

Muscle weakness

Neuropathy

Heart Failure

Dizziness

Cognitive Impairement

Cancer

Pancreatitis

Depression

 

The muscle weakness is extremely dangerous, as it is life threatening.

It doesn't merely "weaken" muscles, it causes them to waste away,

including the skeletal muscles.

 

Are they saying that just Zocor kills cancer cells, or together with another

drug, such as Interferon? If this is the case, this is another

dangerous drug. It causes autoimmune disorders, damages the bone

marrow, and causes serious bone pain.

 

I question whether Zocor or any other statin does indeed kill cancer cells,

or whether it's just another way of marketing this drug. Regardless,

statins are extremely dangerous and have the capability of doing irreperable

harm to one's body. By the way, one of the side effects of statins is

that they cause cancer.
