Olivier, Oleander works by first slowing, then stopping, and then reversing the cancer. With regard to blood thinning medication and the cardiac glycosides contained in the Oleander extract, I am going to copy and paste a post that Tony made a few months ago.Do you think you could address the issue of too much of this medication with her doctor? Here is the post:Each dose of

oleander has about 1/40th the amount of cardiac glycosides as an

average dose of digoxin/digitalis, so caution is always urged for

anyone who has a heart condition and/or is taking blood thinners (such

as Wayfarin or Coumodin) or cardiac glycosides (such as

digoxin/digitalis) should exercise extra caution. Ideally, one would

be able to first consult with a qualified naturopathic doctor who is

familiar with both their present medications and oleander - but that is

something that may be difficult to do.

Due to the

relatively low amount of cardiac glycosides in oleander, there is

usually a pretty good margin of error to work with if one exercises

caution. If

I had a heart condition and/or took such medications, I would begin

with very small amounts of one of the forms of oleander extract (liquid

or capsule) we talk about here, work myself up to larger doses

gradually and perhaps cut back a wee bit on my other medications.

Hi ,

yes, i did know of this fact.

My issue is that my mom, for her weight,

is taking too much blood thinner called fragmin.

She is supposed to take 12 500 ui, then 30 days later drop

to 10 000 ui, according to the fragmin site.

Doasge go with weight.

But they started her on 15 000(her weight is near

this category of dosage, but is slightly lower,

in the category that says to take 12 500),

and 7 weeks later, way past the 30 days that

fragmin.com says you need to lower the dose,

they still gave her 15 000.

And so she had internal bleeding.

The guy, without tests, says its not because

of the fragmin, that she has internal cuts somewhere.

The thing is, when she stops taking fragmin she no longer

bleeds. And she IS taking too much fragmin.

The guy says its not the fragmin, that someone normal

could take 2 times that dose and still not bleed.

We re not saying she s like a super healthy person,

and she probably can cut internally more easily than others.

But it IS because her health status PLUS the high dose

of 15 000 ui of fragmin that she bleeds internally.

And dosage info on fragmin.com says she should take

10 000ui by now, not 15 000.

So if she was to take 10 000, maybe she would not bleed.

But we have to find another expert that can have another

opinion and hopefully, like we think is a good idea,

give her a shot at trtying 10 000 ui, and see if she bleeds

with it or not.

So right now shes temporarily on 5000 ui, on our request,

until she can see another expert, hopefully next week.

This dose cannot guarantee she wont have a blood clot

going up in her body and killin her. But we chose to go

that route and have a second opinion, before deciding

on a potential surgery(again, hopefully this other expert

will agree to try 10 000ui, and see if this dose is alright

or make her bleed).

SO MY QUESTION...(sorry for long post):

I was wondering how the oleander goes into the system,

what it does etc, because my mother bled internally

when on 15 000ui, and she may still be fragile internally,

somewhere, whether in liver, stomach, intestine -

....so i wanted to know...where the oleander acted, where

in the system it did whatever it did etc.

ITs path from the moment you take it to wherever it end up

and the kind of action/reactions in causes, an where in the system.

....so i can decide if, even if she has had internal bleeding

when taking 15 000ui, but isnt anymore, a few days later,

if i think she should start the oleander right now.

Because time is extremely limited for recovery,

and we may not have answers about her internal bleeding,

let alone a solution(either 10 000ui fragmin, or surgery done)

for another week or 2 - and i have pushed back my mom taking oleander

for far too long for too many reasons, even if good.

ANd at some point very soon i need to decide, on my own,

if we should risk and start the oleander now.

But for this i need to ave an idea of what the oleander does

in the system and where, if it does something strong in its digestion

in the intestines or wherever.

Ok so this was long, but her life may be short.

I refuse to sit by and npot try to understand this and

do the best moves i can.

thanks

Olivier, I am back from the pasture for a while to check the forums and emails, but Tony is still there. We should be returning tomorrow afternoon. In the meantime, I hope that Marc sees your post and responds to you so that you don't have to wait for Tony's return. Please know that my prayers are with you and your mom. Yes, she deserves hope, and that hope is still there. Hang in there. What type of surgery are they thinking of if they are not sure where the bleeding is coming from?

Hi ,

the surgery is a small " umbrella " that would go into

one of her deep vein in her leg.

This way if a blood clot come up her leg, then it would be stopped

in this umbrella and wouldnt go up to her lungs, which she would

die because of it.

Thing is, theyre thinking of doing that because for them,

fragmin thinner = make her bleed because of some internal bleeding.

But from our perspective, the formula is more like:

too much thinner = bleeding in her, in her case.

And she is taking too much thinner.

So why not try the lower recommended dose firat, and if she aint

bleeding, problem solved.

Still, with only the umbrella, they feel, rightly so,

that without a thinner in action, more and more blood clots would form, move up,

and go in the umbrella, which would eventually be completely blocked.

So they want to give her a small dose 5000ui of fragmin

in conjunction with the umbrella, so that less blood clot gets

formed and move up into the umbrella.

Yes i cant wait to have an answer on the oleander, as you can imagine.

To top it all, my mom started to have the flu.

Not sure if its a normal one or the h1n1, which is possible,

as she goes to this clinic everyday to receive her fragmin shot

(she cant get herself to do it herself).

Will see.

Thanks for your prayers.

I find these times to be exxtremely frustrating, disapointing

and scary.

Hopefully MArc and/or Tony will respond.

thanks again

Thank you for clarifying Olivier. I guess I misunderstood your post before. I am back home but Tony is still at the pasture for one more night. I do hope in that Marc pops in and replies to your questions. As for the flu, give her at least two ounces of colloidal silver per day. This should take care of the problem in short order. My Best,
