Hi Donna,As I just told you in the email I sent you, stop taking that medication, and I am glad you wrote back saying that you did. That is a very serious and life threatening side effect. Statins are being passed out by doctors like candy these days and they serious compromise one's health. First of all, they are very dangerous drugs, causing the very conditions they are proposed to prevent.First of all, high cholesterol, "Hypercholesterolemia," is an invented disease, as so many others. Nobody ever died of high cholesterol. Many a healthy patient goes into a doctor's office and are told that they have high cholesterol and are "convinced" that they are not healthy. They are further convinced that they will need to take these statins for the rest of their lives to control their cholesterol. I know of one case where their good cholesterol was too high and were given statins for that! It is all about converting healthy people to patients. You shared with me that you suffered a mild heart attack some time ago. Anyone suffering a heart attack is automatically given statins, even if their cholesterol level is low, thus contributing to an already impaired cardiovascular system. Cholesterol is necessary in numerous biochemical processes and it is vital to proper neurological functions. The side effect that you had, muscle weakness (Rhabdomyolysis) is caused by a depletion in CoQ10, the very thing that you need to support muscle function. What this actually is, is "muscle wasting." Very serious.Other side effects are:NeuropathyHeart FailureDizzinessCognitive ImpairementCancerPancreatitisDepressionBelow is a link that will give more information on the dangers of statins.http://www.mercola.com/article/statins.htm And here is the remedies from The Best Years in Life Home and Herbal Remedies on what you can do to lower cholesterol naturally:/High_Cholesterol.htm One last thing, cayenne pepper tincture strengthens the cardiovascular system and regulates blood pressure and circulation. I think I posted this before, but Tony and I use Dr. Christopher's from http:///www.iherb.com and by inserting Code XOT949 you receive $5.00 off your first order. Otherwise, I also posted how to make your own cayenne tincture. If you need it again, let me know and I wil repost it. Hugs,
