Guest guest
Hi Carol, OWIE ! First things that come to my mind for soothing a chemical burn like that is a rinse of strong cooled chamomile tea, and maybe some aloe vera added to the rinse and put directly on the scalp too. I know that I have successfully used Lavender and German Chamomile oils on oven burns and they helped greatly, so maybe adding a drop of each of them to your chamomile/aloe rinse or rub might help .. ? They always say to do a patch test before dying your hair, even if it s the same dye you've used for ages, but I never do that patch test. I haven't dyed my hair in about a year or so, and I'm trying to refrain from doing it, but next time I do, I'm going to patch test now! I hope your head feels better soon. *Hugs* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Carol Pearce [cjpearce] Monday, January 19, 2004 7:39 PM Suggestions please Hi, NOT having the best of days today, decided it was time to get my hair all one color again, and 5 minutes into it, I took a reaction to the dye. ( Or whatever you want to call it). Anyway, ran screaming into the bathroom, washing the stuff off, and now my head feels like its been run over by a garden rake...Very tender to say the least. I have applied a cool lavender and chamomile rinse and it still hurts like a bugger. Other than a couple of glasses of wine, ( did the good cry thing already), can anyone else think of anythink? Guest guest
This is just beyond comprehension! How awful to have that happen on a day that should be a celebration of a person's birth. It just breaks my heart. Hopefully others will have suggestions. I'm just so sorry for your son. Peggy www.splendidsoap.com - gea Thursday, April 29, 2004 2:21 PM suggestions please today is my son's birthday and stupid tradition of giving b-day punches got completely out of hand, he was ambushed in the locker room by a bunch of kids - his arms are swollen and his back and arms are covered with broken blood vessels. Guest guest
I would suggest using some homeopathics - Arnica Montana - is specifically for bruising & muscle soreness -- there is also a blend of a # of differnt homeopathics called Traumeel -- very effective Lesley(AZ)
Guest guest
Hi Gea, What a stupid 'tradition ', that's assault, not fun ! Arnica in any form, preferable homeopathic or in salve ( Arniflora by Boericke and Tafel) a gentle oil made with helichrysm in infused SJW oil. Comfrey poultices And lot's of love... For deep bruising, I like to use a combination of helichrysum and black pepper, along with lavender. I usually put 10 drops of each in 4 ounces of unscented body lotion. You might try a stronger percentage initially if your son doesn't have reactions to oils, that you are aware of anyway. You could always do a skin patch test first too, of course. Guest guest
Homeopathic arnica!!! Both the tablets internally and the gel externally. The sooner you can start using both, the more effective it'll be. I hope that helps! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com - gea today is my son's birthday and stupid tradition of giving b-day punches got completely out of hand, he was ambushed in the locker room by a bunch of kids - his arms are swollen and his back and arms are covered with broken blood vessels. Guest guest
Anyone have some ideas as to what I can take I have GERD and was diagnosed with Barrettes Esophagus which the doctor says will turn into esophageal caner. This has scared me to death. They have me on Protonix for heartburn and I take Raw ACV also. Donna ACS
Guest guest
Hi Donna,First of all, Protonix or any other GERD remedy (Nexium, Prevacid, etc.) is the worst thing you can take. It will just keep getting worse and worse. GERD is actually the result of having too little acid in your stomach and these prescription meds make it worse. These proton pump inhibitors block the acid needed for proper digestion, making matters worse and requiring more and more medication as time goes by. Take one tablespoon apple cider vinegar with meals three times a day and Papaya Enzymes. And the below link contains more remedies:/Acid_Reflux.htm Hugs, oleander soup , Donna <dscroggs44646 wrote:>> Anyone have some ideas as to what I can take I have GERD and was > diagnosed with Barrettes Esophagus which the doctor says will turn into > esophageal caner. Guest guest
ACV stands for Apple Cider Vinegar. An excellent brand is Bragg's that you can get at some supermarkets and definitely at health food stores. Yes, it works for acid reflux. When I had this problem, papaya enzymes also gave me much needed relief. Changing my diet also worked. Below are additional remedies./Acid_Reflux.htm My Best, oleander soup , "Nili Gitig" <ngitig wrote:>> What is raw ACV? My husband also suffers from terrible bouts of heartburn. Does the raw ACV help?
