Guest guest
I hate to be a wet blanket, but Brazil nuts are especially prone to aflatoxins, which can cause liver cancer. That goes for a lot of nuts, actually, depending on how they are stored. Grains stored in silos are prone to molds as well. My interest in this comes from experiencing liver pain from eating these things. Not to say that everyone will have that experience. And its been suggested to skin the nuts, and scrub. I've thought about soaking them in peroxide, but that could get expensive, and not sure how effective it is.
