The final word on the Facebook invitations

Your comment was uncalled for, as both Michael and myself have explained the mistake of Facebook sending out his invitation to multiple addresses, which was not what he intended.

Dr. Michael Goebel is a naturopath and chiropractor and very much into physical fitness. It was NOT his intention to broadcast his message or his photo to multiple addresses.

I also note that he is a good personal friend of mine and that if it were not for him and his recommendation of an excellent chiropractor in San Antonio I might still be laid up in bed eating 20 mg diazepams like they were candy just to take enough of the pain away that I could bear making it through the day.

Instead of making an issue out of an unintentional mistake, let this serve as a lesson to anyone who signs up on a social network to be very careful which network it is in the first place and not to check any options which enable the network to send out emails to people throughout your address book.

Facebook is actually one of the more legitimate social networks and I am a member myself. Twitter and Myspace are two others that are fairly legit and safe too. Others out there have been identified as phishing sites that may snoop in your personal computer files and even use your computer for malicious purposes. So beware!
