I asked a dentist about removing root canals and he thought I was out of my mind. He said to find out what "you all" would recommend instead. I'm assuming just pulling the teeth and maybe a bridge or something, but thought I'd better ask before I get myself into more trouble than I want. What do you think? Thanks. Jan ____________ Jan, I just went to a traditional dentist. I asked him about having amalgams removed. I told him I've heard by word-of-mouth that people notice a big difference in their health. I specifically asked about multiple sclerosis. He was very discouraging about the benefits, as he said he had one patient with MS that didn't benefit by removing amalgam/root canal. I will write this off as him being all-knowledgeable (in his professional opinion) on the subject and take it with a grain or two of salt. When several people say they've been helped by removing a root canal, I put my faith in that, more so than conventional medical doctors, especially when they continue to recommend the same treatments without bothering to learn more. If you get your root canal removed, that's NOT getting yourself in more trouble, that's taking care of yourself and learning. I also went to a holistic dentist that specializes in safe amalgam removal. He had a much different view but wants to charge a whole lot. Bottom line, it's my mouth, and I'll do what I feel is best. And I won't allow anybody to make me feel like I'm in trouble because I disagree. Doctors and dentists are not God. Terri
