Guest guest
How do you know how your vitamin d and iodine levels are? Thanks, robyn "tedsanford" <tedsanfordoleander soup Sent: Saturday, September 19, 2009 5:42:21 PM Re: My tumour marker keeps going up...... You need to fill in a lot more info. What else are you taking? What is your Vit D, are you taking Iodine, and how much, are you taking any Mg? What is your diet? Are you eating raw, organic food? See Tony's anti-cancer protocol, and see how much you are doing.oleander soup, "infomcf" <infomcf > wrote:>> Hi,> > I have been taking the liquid Sutherlandia OPC at 4 teaspoons 3 times a day but my tumour markers keep going up.> > Can anyone give me any advice?> > The only thing which seems to bring my numbers down is chemo but I really do not want to go back onto it but I am starting to feel like I don't have any choice.> > MM>
Guest guest
Robyn: For Vit D, a 25(OH)D blood test, run at Labcorp. If it is run at Quest, you have to divide the result by 1.3 to compare to the range. You want to be at the high end of the therapeutic range, 60-80ug/ml. See drmercola.com for more info. For iodine, hakalalabs.com has a 24hr load test, for, I think $70, but everthing I read says for cancer, take 50-100gms/day, depending on tolerance. My authority on this is the iodine blog. Guest guest
My wife's total dosage of iodine, in the form of Magnascent, Lugol's and SSKI, both orally and transdermal is way over 100 mgs daily and probably closer to 200mgs. She is having no problems whatsoever from this and she may go much higher, but that must be done slowly to avoid sleep problems from iodine's simulative effects. In the early 20th century iodine was used in gram amounts regularly with many good effects. If you are taking only 6 drops of Lugol's, assuming it to be 2%, you have barely scratched the surface. And remember Tony's admonition to use methylselenocysteine for iodine uptake. DaddyBob
