Advice on Dosage

Hi Folks,

When I started taking Oleander capsules and experienced pain in the tumor sites

Eva, Mark and were a great help in easing my fears and the pain did pass.

However, I continued to have a loss in appetite and severe diarreah over the

next month....So, Instead of taking two capsules in the morning and two at noon

as suggested by Marc Swanepol I cut it to two in the morning and one at noon two

days ago and my appetite picked up a bit and the running to the bathroom has

slowed to a dull roar. I am concerned with not taking the full dosage as my

diagnosis is a bit dire.

I have lung cancer with brain mets and have received radiation to both. My next

scans are due the first week in October and under the protocol if my results are

not good I should increase the dosage to 3 caps in the morning and 3 at noon. I

know the dose is not weight related but it also makes me very afraid that I am

putting my chances of survival in jeapordy by playing with the dose level.

Any Advice would be appreciated.

Cheryl

Dear Cheryl,

I really haven't heard of anyone losing their appetite taking oleander, but maybe it had to do with the stomach discomfort you are experiencing. Marc and Tony will address your concerns, I am sure.

In the meantime, dropping back the dosage for right now is the right thing to do until the discomfort passes, and it really should. Then go up gradually as the discomfort allows.

What other part of the Natural Anti-Cancer Protocol are you following?

I will keep you in prayer with regard to your upcoming tests. Please try not to stress. Know that you are taking the proper steps and right now you have just hit a "bump" in the road. The discomfort should pass. Also, I believe you have only been taking Oleander for a month? On the average it takes two to three months to see any types of results so please do not get upset if you do not see the anticipated test results. Please make sure and share them with us.

Lastly, we are here for you. Tony and Marc for guidance, and myself, well some guidance but know that I am here to support you.

Many Hugs,

Normally oleander results in a healthier appetite, but certainly diarrhea can be an appetite suppressor.

You might consider dividing up your doses into more than twice daily to see if that helps. You also might want to try an occasional Immodium AD following an episode of diarrhea and see if that helps - though I would not advise continued long term use of it.

At one time, Immodium AD was recommended for those who made their own home extract "oleander soup", because diarrhea was more commonplace until we realized the importance of extra filtration to remove some of the larger organic compounds that could cause initial diarrhea until the body adjusted.

You might also try taking some good probiotics, prebiotics and digestive enzymes (which would likely be a good idea anyway).

Colloidal Silver has always helped me ease an upset stomach (and I consider it a must for fighting cancer). Ginger is another suggestion.

All the best,
