Guest guest
Hi, I seldom post but never miss reading from our group and learn a lot everyday. Mostly here the focus was to prevent/reverse cancer but here is the other health topic I would like to discuss. These couple of days my mind keep bewindering when I got the news from my close girl friend that her son-in-law suddently died at the young age of 42 left 2 year old baby/wife behind and his sobbing parents. The possible reason was blood clot in his brain. They sent him to ER in time but just beyond medical help and died instantly that he had no time to say good bye to the love ones. How pitiful/sad! My friend said it might be due to bad gene that his aunt also was died of brain related illness. I argued to her that the possible cause was bad diet. My other friend 71 year old also died this way when he was chating with friend at dinner table. I don't know the medical term for that. How could this happen to some people like this? Does saturated fat like too much butter/coconut oil or cheese/meat will cause blood clot in the brain? Dr. Weil said one should limit taking butter/coconut oil. I thought coconut oil is good for you. I routinely cook with it also take two table spoon cocnut oil daily. I like to spread butter with garlic on bread tasts yammy. Now I have second thought. I do belive the young man's life could have been saved through better diet. Prevention is a key. like to hear experts opinion about this issue. Thanks your inputs. Guest guest
Hi Helen, Diet plays a very important role in one's life. Tony and I have coconut oil daily and I have never heard that it causes harm. What does cause harm are your regular oils, vegetable oil, canola oil, etc. I only use olive oil. Flaxseed oil is also good. Processed foods, junk foods, fast foods, sodas, etc. are also extremely harmful. We don't know what this young man's diet or lifestyle was like and, of course, we don't know what his predisposition was. Cayenne pepper can do a lot to insure a healthy cardiovascular system and keep the blood flowing smoothly. One teaspoon a day mixed in juice or hot water should prevent this from happening. If you use hot water sip it as you would hot tea. Of course, make sure you use 100% juice, no fillers or sugar. You can also make your own tincture and if you read recent posts, Renee has posted instructions on how this can be done. It is fairly easy. By putting the words "cayenne pepper tincture" on the search bar, you should come up with the recipe. Hope this helps. Hugs,
Guest guest
Hello Helen, Here are a few link to consider regards fats in your diet. Please keep in mind the history of the diets and the general population health related to it. Never mind orthodox studies, they are biased to start with according to who foots the bill. They are also extremely specialized and disregard over all picture within which every such study fits. Because of that, they either find a particular item to have negative effects, neutral effects, or beneficial effects on their own, but never find what effects they have in conjunction with all other dietary and lifestyle conditions. Result of most of them have very limited validity even if not manipulated, as much as most are, either by their set up and criteria, or down right fudging the numbers. The only good guidance is an experience statistically derived from all kinds of ethnical and historical background groups, where whole diets and lifestyles are taken into consideration, providing that someone has been thorough enough to research well and take every single aspect into context and consideration. Below you would find out that no single kind of fats is good for you. It is a balanced intake which does the job, although some fats are detrimental no matter what. With kind regards, Slavek. http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=68690#i http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=68715 http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=13338 http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=13339 Helen Wang wrote: > > > > Hi, > I seldom post but never miss reading from our group > and learn a lot everyday. Guest guest
A close friend of my daughter's husband (and fellow band member) died recently of a brain hemorrhage. What puzzled everyone was that he was the most diet conscious of their friends and was a vegan. I don't know other details of his diet but it is hard to know how to prevent everything through diet. Guest guest
I know Ruth, I have had vegan friends who have developed serious health complications and I am at a loss to explain why. I really don't know enough about the diet to know if they were missing important nutrients. Someone adapting a vegan lifestyle must know what they are doing in this regard. oleander soup , "phoophh" <phoophh wrote:>> A close friend of my daughter's husband (and fellow band member) died recently of a brain hemorrhage. Guest guest
I just had my hair mineral analysis done through ARL labs in Arizona. Amongst the many things I am finding out by doing this is that a vegetarian/vegan diet is very low in zinc and high in copper. Apparently many of us are "copper toxic". It is the imbalance of the ratios of minerals within our bodies that don't allow many of us to get well. Add to the mix that many toxic metals like mercury and aluminum are replacing important minerals within our bodies and we have a recipe for disaster. I am learning that when we remove meat from our diet, then important minerals like zinc and taurine need to be replaced. And that is just the tip of the iceberg and of course it is different for everyone.I agree with you . I know when I tried to be vegan and totally vegetarian, I was so sick. My naturopath at the time had a real job to educate me in balancing my diet and making up for what I was losing by not eating meat and dairy.Eva.--- On Thu, 9/10/09, luellamay129 <luellamay129 wrote:luellamay129 <luellamay129 Re: off topic - diet questionoleander soup Date: Thursday, September 10, 2009, 9:31 PM I know Ruth, I have had vegan friends who have developed serious health complications and I am at a loss to explain why.
