Guest guest
Hi all, I've been away from the computer lately, nevertheless, I came across this article and thought I would pass it along. " DHA, a polyunsaturated fatty acid found in fish oil, was found to significantly decrease the nephrotoxicity (damage against kidneys) of the chemotherapy drug cisplatin. Also, when used alone in rat models, DHA significantly reduced the size of solid tumors, reduced levels of c-RP (c-Reactive Protein, an inflammation indicator), LC (Leukocyte count) and MDA (malondialdehyde), a marker of lipid peroxides and oxidation. " Source: Chemopreventive and renal protective effects for docosahexaenoic acid (DHA): implications of CRP and lipid peroxides (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19341447) I hope this can be useful to someone now or in the future (Hint - I always use archive searches for tidbits like this.)
