hospice said they would keep him hydrated and medicated till he died but

no " food "

he had fell and without x-ray decided bleeding on brain. He had some bleeding

out of ear but Dr. showed me a tare on the inside of ear.I will never know if

the bleeding came from brain or ear.It took about 4 days in hospital and then 2

in hospice. When he died he weighed less than 100.

I believe he was starved.sandy

Well, it looks like this is prevalent at least in other states besides California. I am so sorry to hear this Sandy. I was planning to do an article on the hospice situation in California once I got settled and now once I get my computer back (yep, in the shop again, and am sharing Tony's), but it looks like my article will be expanded.

Hugs,

I am so sorry, Sandy.

"They" took my mother from me.

Although that was in 1994, I still hold those feelings against the hospital.

Yes, yes.

I know it isn't healthy to harbour those things.

I'm working on it...........

huggss from me and my family.

________

Sandy and Rich, my mom's final moment on life was hurried via an IV of epinepherine at full force. In the days before, my mom had requested some popsicles and was told no, as she was experiencing bad edema. This was 1983. I'll never forget withholding hydration to my dear mother who requested it.

Thank God for people like Tony and and the people on this list and others who freely give of their time and their experience in their desire to help someone else. I have never ever shared this with anyone before.

I've done a 180 on relying on doctors. God, yes.
