Better being a relative term;>) The oleander actually takes some of the bite out of the vinegar. I'll report back after a couple of hours about any effects. Guest guest Posted August 1, 2009 Report Share Posted August 1, 2009 Bragg's ACV, being raw, unfiltered, with the " mother " , is Live - correct? i don't see how this could be a suitable preservative at all. sure, it'll put the brakes on the growth of some stuff, but won't it be doing a job of it's own on the chemistry of the OSoup??? Bragg's ACV is certainly wonderful medicinal foodstuff, performs minor miracles and all, but in this case i'd think a filtered-distilled vinegar would be more appropriate, at least in the long run and maybe for short term too. that's why i used alcohol, even though taking in alcohol is a no-no for a hep-C liver. i'm still wondering if there's any definite knowledge re the composition and value of the heavier creamy stuff that settles out. i'd like to hear that it's known for sure to be either bad, inconsequential, or needed in the OSoup. if it's just the part that causes diarrhea i'd like to get rid of it. does anyone know for sure, not speculation, what the bottom line is on that? re CS as a preservative: is this in an exploratory experimental stage, or has it been determined with some certainty that it doesn't react with the OSoup to lessen it's power for good? i guess that would take some lab rat testing to really know, lest humans be possibly using it that way with false confidence and paying a price of their health over time. > > oleander soup > oleander soup On Behalf Of ransley > Saturday, August 01, 2009 1:07 PM > oleander soup > Taste test > > Just finished cutting my last batch with Bragg ACV.
