Tony, I read the first article you sent they are referring to it as  n-butylidenephthalide, im rather confused as to if there is a difference or not.  It really sounds like something i wouldnt' be opposed to trying with some more research but where do you get something like that?  is it available for purchase OTC?  Thanks

The compound occurs naturally in Dong Quai (Angelica senensis) - which is widely available. Most studies do not study an entire plant, but rather a single isolated compound - because only a synthetic version of a single compound or else a compound isolated by a unique method is patentable and thus would have potential as a new drug.

Nature works synergistically and I am skeptical of most isolated compounds as compared to using the whole plant or a number of compounds which 0ften work together for maximum effect.

I am not at all familiar with Dong Quai and passed the information along FYI only.
