Guest guest
>Vinegar and salt will do the job especially in summer time. You mixed 2 cups salt with 1 bottle vinegar until the salt is disolved< You can save a little money on that this way...One gallon of Sam's " Bakers and Chef's " white vinegar and only one cup of salt, plain old Morton table salt also available at Sam's in 4 pound boxes. You can probably cut this some with water and it will still work but I was after max killing power here in the southeast coastal jungle. I fight this battle every year in my non-paved driveways and this is BY FAR the cheapest and most effective thing I've ever done! I am sick and tired of paying for expensive weed and brush killers and really don't want to be using that stuff anyway. However- a few caveats- this mix is totally indiscriminate, kills everything although goose grass is pretty resistant to it, so if you have a fine mist sprayer to use on just the foliage of selected plants, do that instead of broadcasting it. Also, it supposedly can sterilize the soil for years if used heavily so watch out. In the case of my driveways, I want that effect.
