Properlly made and taken colloidal silver does not make you turn blue. Period!

I totally disagree that argyria is under-reported. Mainstream medicine and the mainstream media they have at their beck and call are both foaming at the mouth to find instances of argyria to try to stave off the competition to their billions in profits from the patented antibiotics that are less effective, less safe and far more expensive. So far about all they can come up with is the blue man Paul Karason and the senator who made silver with tap water and added salt to it and consumed very large quantities for an extended time and Rosemary Jacobs who overuse large particle silver nitrate for a very long time which was in a mainstream nose spray medication prescribed by a mainstream doctor.

I have researched the use of colloidal and ionic silver extensively. In addition, I am not only personal friends with the owner of one of the best known colloidal silver manufacturers, I am also friends with the other best known and best quality colloidal silver manufacturer as well as friends with the owner of Silvermedicine, who makes some of the best known home silver generators (the Silvergen models). And I am one of the top contributors to the CureZone colloidal silver support forum.

Neither I nor any of the other people mentioned above, nor anyone I know, have ever had anyone turn blue from one of their products or even known one single person who has had argyria. Not one! Millions of people use colloidal silver. Where are all the tribes of smurffs? There are none!

Industrial silver, such as silver nitrate, or large particle silver compared to nanometer and sub nanometer pure silver are completely incomparable.

Now, if you want a cure for argyria, two methods have been reported:

The first is:

3 Vitamin E 1000 mg 100% Natural d-alpha Tocopheryl ( note that this can be a dangerous amount of Vitamin E )1 Selenium 100mcg yeast free2 vegetarian Vitamin C 1000 mg1 teaspoon MSM organic1 super potency Vitamin B 100,1 teaspoon of Kelp powder:Taken every morning with 2 16oz glasses of water, with close to a total of 3/4 of a gallon drinking water a day.

and the second is simply to use zeolite minerals.

Now, I cannot personally swear that they work, but what I can swear to is that to my very good knowledge, no one ever turned blue from properly prepared and administered colloidal or ionic silver. Those who did used either very high particle silver suspended in animal protein, silver made with tap water and contaminated with salt, or large particle silver nitrate in mainstram medicine.

Lost in all the argryia hooplah is the fact that the bluest man of all, Paul "Papa Smurff" Karason was give a complete physical at Mount Sinai hospital at the request of one of the talk shows he appeared on. Karason, who revels in his blueness while also claiming that silver saved his life from health conditions he conquered, was given a completely clean bill of health.

I personally take anywhere from 1 to 4 ounces of 20ppm silver that ranges in size from .65 nanometers to over 2 nanometers daily and have for years now. There is nary a trace of blue anywhere on my body.

Silver safety and effectiveness is a settled issue in my mind.

Janet,

This article is from 2004. Perhaps he's changed his opinion of CS

since then? There is absolutely NO WAY argyria can occur in someone

ingesting 1 - 2 oz. CS daily as long as it is pure CS made from .999 fine

silver and disilled water. A 10ppm solution is just fine... even at twice

that concentration it's fine. I don't agree with Mr. Barron at all on this

one.

I hope Jon has wised up a bit on the subject of colloidal silver in the intervening 5 years since he wrote that. However, I do not see much to argue with. It does vary from company to company and there are companies that make large particle high concentration products, especially those that artificially suspend the particles in protein (usually animal protein at that). Guess what - skin loves protein!

The bottom line is to either use a company you know and trust or else make your own somewhat lesser (or greatly lesser when compared to Utopia Silver or Mesosilver) product by following instructions, using distilled water and not contaminating it with salt.
