Lisa -

I should have also included a very strong recommendation for the flaxseed/cottage cheese used in the Budwig Diet. Though not generally regarded as an overnight cure for cancer, that diet has had some very good success against some pretty late stage cancers. In my opinion, a better option that cottage cheese, if you can find it, would be organic goat's milk yogurt with the whey drained off.

All the best,

Thanks Tony!

Unfortunately, I have PTSD as far as cottage cheese goes. Same with liver. My

mom force-fed us these things as kids - lol. Yogurt is up on that list, as well.

If it's soft and smells sour, I just can't go there.

On an aside, I have a friend who is a biochemical/nutritional wizard...when I

mentioned the Budwig Diet, she said, 'Oh, yeah, that makes sense...would create

interferon in the cells. "

I am putting flaxseed on everything, tho :)

I understand how it can be with things you were forced to eat as a kid, although I have found that I like just about everything that I once loathed.

I will say though, that like or not like, if I had cancer and fresh cow patties were a good weapon you would see me out in the cowfields with spoon in hand!

They need to understand that, as Hippocrates said, " your food is your medicine,

your medicine is your food. " I wish I could have gotten that through to my

wife.

I am still convinced that the whey is the most important component of the milk

products. High in all amino acids, prevents catechia, has no allergic

components to it, etc....

Hey Jim -

You may be right, but for some reason it is recommended that you drain the whey when combining the yogurt with flaxseed a la Budwig. Thanks for the input, as I did not mean to imply to not consume whey, just to not include it when mixing with the flaxseed. And even that may not be necessary, just going by what I have been told by some experienced Budwig folks.
