I am happy to report that has arrived in CA to spend some vacation time with her children and hopefully get some much needed rest and relaxation. She has been carrying most of the load on our forums while also carrying for me during my horrific ordeal with a back injury that led to what became unbearable sciatic pain.

She should be back online and posting again by sometime later today or tomorrow at the latest, but I ask that everyone bear with her a bit and I have cautioned her to not overdo it. She and I both have the tendancies to get online from early AM to well past midnite and that in itself can take a toll. As I have learned the hard way, it can also lead to being more susceptible to injury when you try to be a weekend warrior and lift large logs and things like you were still young, immortal and Hercules.

I myself am staying with my good friend Ben Taylor, the owner of Utopia Silver and a friend of mine since the second grade. Thanks to a referral from my friend and a co-moderator of the Oleandersoup group, Dr. G., I have been seeing an excellent chiropractor in San Antonio two and three times a week and I am happy to report tremendous progress. Life is bearable again and the pain much diminished.

When I first arrived here, it was so bad that I could only climb the stairs by holding on to the bannister and putting first one foot and then the other on one step at a time. Now I can go right up and back down like a normal person, and what had been truly unbearable pain in my right calf and entire right foot and ankle area has diminished to merely a bit of lingering aggravating pain - especially if I do not over do it and sit too long at the computer at a stretch.

Yes, I have to force myself to limit the time I sit at the computer each day, even with a cushion and lumbar support device - and so I must apologize for not being nearly as active as I would like to be in all my groups and forums, websites and other endeavors. Though I want to jump on the computer and work hours on end days on end to make up for a couple of months of much lost time, that would likely be a disaster.

If all continues to go well, I will be increasingly active.

Though my heart was crying for me to go back to our little country cottage and continue treatment with a new chiro somewhere in the Dallas area, Lu and I both decided that I should continue with the one in San Antonio since what he is doing is working so well and I am very impressed with him. Plus, she really needed a break and this is a good chance for her to get one.

Meanwhile, all of my best wishes to all of you, my thanks to all of you who help fill in while we are a bit limited, and most of all, all of my best and a big piece of my heart to . I sooo look forward to when we are healthy and back together and able to begin writing more chapters to the life we have chosen to spend together.

Hugs to all,

Tony

Tony,

Been there done that, I have thirty years 'experience' with various types of

lower back pain.

My last session with sciatic problems lasted about two years, Chiropracters,

masotherapists and pain killing injections notwithstanding.

I found the cure at The Healthy back institute, they have an e-book of gentle

exercises and lots of ongoing advice. Took about two months to get my pain down

by about 90% and it has stayed down now for over a year.

Also I have had good temporary pain relief from 'Soothanol X2) from North Star

Nutritionals.

For long term protection try an inversion table.

Live long and in good health,

George
