I am having a very bad problem with dry skin on my arms>>

A standard therapy mentioned in oatmeal washes, which in your case might mean filling a basin with warm water and dumping oatmeal in, then soaking your arms in it. Obviously this would be a venture for after-hours, not something you would want to do during active part of day. The oatmeal bath/wash said to diminish itching.

Concentrate on good, fresh oils in your diet. Don't eat anything fried or fast food. If you eat fish, eat a variety of fish with fresh salads and a good oil. Eggs and milk products are also loaded with good nutrition for the skin. If you don't eat fish, I would buy an Omega 3 flax oil or fish oil capsule. I used to slather on creams and various otc products for itch until I realized I needed more good oils and I now know that I am allergic to most grains. This combo causes itching and dryness. Good luck.

Dad told me he has itchy skin for a few days now. Can it be his liver having

too much stress from the cancer fighting supplements? No rash, just itchiness.

He has diarrhea again today. From what, nothing has changed. I am so

frustrated and lost. Now itchy?

Itchy is definately the liver trying to cope, help it along with some milk thistle & NAC. Also, fresh organic Beet/Carrot Juice is another the liver loves and helps with healing.

Should I lower his dose of supplements or just use milk thistle and such to help

the liver cope. I don't want to cause harm to his liver. Or I should keep the

supplements up and the itchy will pass once the body gets rid of enough bad

stuff.

He just did a liver flush two weeks ago although he swore that was the last one

for him.

Hi Julie,Whenever I get itchy from detoxing too much, I do a couple of coffee enemas a day to help my liver out. It really helps! I have also just started taking my Milk Thistle as a tincture (tastes awful, but I dilute it with OJ) and I find my liver handles my detoxing much easier now as the herbs go straight where they need to be.Hope this helps,Eva.--- On Sat, 5/30/09, juliejhe1 <juliejhe1 wrote:juliejhe1 <juliejhe1 Re: Itchy skinoleander soup Date: Saturday, May 30, 2009, 11:44 PM

Eva and Tammatha,

I hadn't heard of this before. Can you help me to understand whether itchy skin is a good sign (body is getting rid of toxins) ... or a bad sign (liver is struggling with the cancer)?

Thanks,

Itchy skin from poor liver function occurs when the liver

is unable to properly filter chemicals, toxins and parasites in the body. The

body will then try to get rid of these toxins through the skin. This can result

in itchy skin, rashes and brown spots on the outside of the skin as the toxins are

pushed out through the outer skin layers.

Itchy skin

after a liver cleanse indicates that another liver flush should be done as well

as a a couple of parasite cleanses.  In

the beginning of a detoxification program, most people need to do at least 4-5

(sometimes more) liver flushes back to back with 10-14 days of rest in between

each one (be sure to take some liver support during the rest period and drink

lots of purified water) -- depending upon the person's strength factor.  One liver flush will never take care of years

and years of toxic build-up.  If one is

in a weakened state then a liver flush 1x/month is a good idea until 4-5 have

been accomplished.

Keeping the digestive tract clean is also necessary and this can be

accomplished by taking an oxygen-based cleanser like Mag O7 every other day.  The results should be at elast 2-3 bowel

movements every day.  This will help keep

toxins flushed out of the entire digestive tract.

For those with cancer, detoxification and cleansing should be an on-going thing

and every bit as important as the supplements and diet that is being followed.

The liver needs to be continually supported by effective organic/wild-crafted

herbs.  LivaPure is an excellent choice

that I personally use for myself and also with clients.  It is a tincture with added minerals and

better used by the body than capsules. It does contain milk thistle along with

some other very effective herbs for support and cleansing.

Fresh juice is always an excellent idea.

I’ll share a very effective detox juice recipe that I use with OAW

cancer nutritional-balancing clients:

½ organic beet with leaves

¼ organic purple cabbage

4 stalks of organic celery

1 tablespoon of organic Hemp Seed Oil

1 tablespoon Quantum Greens

1 tablespoon E-3 Live

2 - capsules of 500 mg Curcumin 95%

1/2 capful of intraMAX

Drink freshly-made juice 2x daily.  Juice

should not be made ahead of time. This is a very powerful drink.  It is a good idea to drink 1x a day for five

days and then add the 2nd juice.

1 hour after morning juice follow with 1 dropperful (under tongue – hold for

30 seconds and then swallow) of LivaPure.

The Itchy skin, could be caused by many things, especially in each individual, it could be caused by a dozen different things in a dozen different people, the change in diet during the detox, or the detox itself, or whatever you are taking during the detox could be causing it, something that could be causing dry skin, any number of products or supplements have been known to cause this, itching is such a wide open thing, that it would be very difficult to nail it down to a single cause like that, especially during a detox when so many different things can go on with people.

I have dealt with itchy skin at my work as I am in charge of safety and 1st aid, and I have hardly ever seen the same thing causing itching on different people, it's always something causing the problem that the previous person did not encounter, like chemicals caused in 1 person another ended up going to the emergency at the hospital, it became so bad, they ended up telling her it was some new meds she had started recently after she told them the name, minor burns, cuts, one person even complained of quite a bit of itching after taking some Excedrin for back pain they had while on the job.

So that just shows me that itching skin, has so many possibilities to say that is one thing or that is from the release of the toxins or anything, is really too hard to do.

I actually tried to research this on the net, and came up with no more than what I have mentioned above.

Thanks so much for this Dr Loretta. I am printing it to stick on the fridge door and increasing the font size and making it BOLD! DH thinks I'm nuts doing liver flushes and coffee enemas. The proof is in the pudding - better skin. If I continue, do you think I can reach a point where allergens no longer affect my skin? Avoidance is impossible - grass pollens, plantain and dust. Getting someone else to do the dusting isn't an option. ;-) Will I become less reactive to wheat, dairy and soy.(I am happy never to eat any of them again, but I LOVE cheese made with raw milk.) Mara, there are many,

even natural medicine practitioners, that believe cleansing is not needed or

just a waste of time.  I did a tremendous

amount of cleansing when healing from colon cancer.  Yes, it is effective from my personal

experience and the experience with my clients.

The liver is also the

seat of “emotionsâ€.  When it is

functioning correctly people will not only feel better but their emotional

out-look will usually become much better…..of course, those around them usually

notice this before they do. ;o)

I have seen allergies go away with effective cleansing as long as it was a true

allergy and not an allergy to a man-made substance such as a pesticide/herbicide,

etc. that the food contained.  If a

person is eating GMO fruit or fruit that has been sprayed and they tell me they

are allergic to a particular fruit, then the culprit is almost never the fruit

itself.  I think there is always a cause

for allergies and finding that cause is the basis of getting rid of the

allergy.  Many times it is because of a

toxic liver.  When the liver is clean it

is able to better deal with our toxic environment.

At one point during my healing, I did a whole day flush (special detox tea)

every week for 6-8 weeks.  The detox tea

protocol ended with a liver/gallbladder flush.

One of the things that I would notice the day after the cleanse was how

nice my skin looked.  I got many

compliments on my skin and was always asked what I was using, skincare-wise.

Good liver function is important for restoration of health and well-being.  An added benefit is nice skin!

Keep the doses the same do not change unless, is absolutely miserable? Is he doing any fresh juices by the way?

Also, is your Dad putting anything externally on his skin for relief?

Hi Julie,Whenever I get itchy from detoxing too much, I do a couple of coffee enemas a day to help my liver out. It really helps! I have also just started taking my Milk Thistle as a tincture (tastes awful, but I dilute it with OJ) and I find my liver handles my detoxing much easier now as the herbs go straight where they need to be.Hope this helps,Eva.--- On Sat, 5/30/09, juliejhe1 <juliejhe1 > wrote:

Should I lower his dose of supplements or just use milk thistle and such to help the liver cope. I don't want to cause harm to his liver. Or I should keep the supplements up and the itchy will pass once the body gets rid of enough bad stuff. He just did a liver flush two weeks ago although he swore that was the last one for him.Julieoleander soup, "Tammatha" <tammatha@.. .> wrote:>> Itchy is definately the liver trying to cope, help it along with some milk thistle & NAC. Well it is good in the fact that your body is telling you that something is and needs to leave the body. It is bad if it is chronic, if it is temporary it is alright and helpful to healing.

Eva and Tammatha,

I hadn't heard of this before. Can you help me to understand whether itchy skin is a good sign (body is getting rid of toxins) ... or a bad sign (liver is struggling with the cancer)?

Thanks,

Lori

The liver is also the seat of “emotionsâ€. When it is functioning correctly people will not only feel better but their emotional out-look will usually become much better…..of course, those around them usually notice this before they do. ;o)I have seen allergies go away with effective cleansing as long as it was a true allergy and not an allergy to a man-made substance such as a pesticide/herbicide , etc. that the food contained. If a person is eating GMO fruit or fruit that has been sprayed and they tell me they are allergic to a particular fruit, then the culprit is almost never the fruit itself. I think there is always a cause for allergies and finding that cause is the basis of getting rid of the allergy. Many times it is because of a toxic liver. When the liver is clean it is able

to better deal with our toxic environment. At one point during my healing, I did a whole day flush (special detox tea) every week for 6-8 weeks. The detox tea protocol ended with a liver/gallbladder flush. One of the things that I would notice the day after the cleanse was how nice my skin looked. I got many compliments on my skin and was always asked what I was using, skincare-wise. Good liver function is important for restoration of health and well-being. An added benefit is nice skin!

Getting someone else to do the dusting isn't an option. ;-) Will I become less reactive to wheat, dairy and soy.(I am happy never to eat any of them again, but I LOVE cheese made with raw milk.) If I found an heirloom wheat, I would try it as I think there is a case for believing there is a deterioration in modern grains. The allergen doesn't really matter, if the liver is functioning well? Thanks again.Love, Mara

Well, I'm on the right track. DH and my sons say it's good to see me smile and laugh again. I'm working on re-establishing a more user-friendly circadian rhythm now the itch doesn't keep me awake as much. Soooo...laughter being such good medicine, has anyone got some really clever jokes to send me offlist? The seat of anger is right. I had to let go of the anger towards the poisoners and still fight with righteous indignation. I know the difference now. LOL! I had true allergies AND poisoning. Then there is that adjective, splenetic, and the simile, as bitter as gall! Thanks so much for the reminder!I had instant pain relief in my upper back after the first liver/gallbladder flush. My acupunturist had said the pain (associated with whiplash) was on the gallbladder meridian. It's all so fascinating when one is through the hopeless

feelings. I have just one sore left about 2cms in diameter, like a flat ulcer but it is slowly getting smaller and less purple. All thanks to faraway friends for their knowledge, willingness to share, love and thoughtfulness.Love, Mara--- On Sat, 5/30/09, Dr. Loretta Lanphier <drlanphier wrote:Dr. Loretta Lanphier <drlanphierRE: Re: Itchy skinoleander soup Date: Saturday, May 30, 2009, 9:25 PM

Thank-you so much for this Dr. Loretta. I will be passing this around to family and friends. Looking at this list, it comes as no surprise to me that I was diagnosed with cancer - and that it is becoming more common amongst the population as time goes by.I, too will post this where I can see it.Eva.

Loris,I take it to be a good sign, that I am actually mobilizing toxins out of my system. However, it also means that I need to step up what I am doing to support my liver. Late last year I was doing the Cesium Chloride high pH therapy protocol at the same time as the Bob Beck Protocol. And I was a mess! I had itchy skin, didn't sleep well, foggy brain and I was on an emotional rollercoaster. However as soon as I started stepping up my coffee enemas, supporting my liver with the right herbs and doing a few good (but literally sickening) liver and gallbladder flushes, I actually felt so much better. I guess what I am trying to say is that if you are stepping up your detoxing to a point that you get itchy skin i.e. liver not coping with the toxins and the body attempting to eliminate through other avenues, then you

need to have other things on hand to help the liver out. I had itchy skin just before my last liver flush. However, by adding a lot of milk thistle I actually managed to breeze through the flush without so much as even a little nausea. Hope this sheds a little light on your question,Blessings, Eva.

Yes, when detoxing we will always feel worse before we feel better. Also, forgot to mention that skin issues is not only the liver that needs cleansing but the blood also, Jon Barron's line Baseline Nutritionals has a tincture that Tony recommends in his protocol called Blood Support. Excellent blood purifier that also helps move out the gunk.

Add some beet and celery to the carrot, if you can.

Good clean water, through the day is without saying.

If he cannot do the enema's, try to give food based enzymes

with meals and between meals.

I would also recommend acidophilus.

You can add Bach Remedies to his food for calming.

These make life a little easier.

Find a way to show your dad, that you are trying

to do the best for him.

Perhaps others that have been there already, that can be a support group.

Even thousands of miles away.

I'm an olde geezer, I'll talk to him!

Julie, You are doing all of this out of love.

Love is the only constant in this world.

Your husband must try to understand too.

Get him directly involved, then he will get off your back.

Of course, I encourage YOU not to be discouraged by the stubbornness.

You are NOT at fault, dear lady.

If the "blood support" is a problem, resort to the old way...food.

Get some organic lemon tea.

Will be drink that?

How about some good shreded beets in a salad.

There are lots of wonderful, tasty things that will cleanse the organs.

Research the internet, there is a wealth of info there.

Hang in and tell us what we can do for you.

huggs,

That is too bad however, I totally understand...my mom has been diagnosed with cancer a third time and she is strickly mainstream, it is painful to watch and she won't open her mind.

Can't help those you can't help themselves, but it certainly doesn't make it any easier does it?.
