Guest guest
I am now beginning my 4th week of raw vegan eating which has made some great, positive changes in my healing and health. One thing I noticed about 12 days ago is that I began to get these little bumps on my upper arms in a small area. I thought it was mosquito bites or a rash from being outdoors as it has just gotten nice enough to be out (in Alaska). It went away totally on one arm, but remained on the one where my year old tattoo is and the bumps grew got red, flat on top and very warm and irritating. They are mostly upon the inked skin in a 2 x 2 inch patch. Several days ago a bout 5 small pimple like bumps appeared on my clavicle area spread from my arm toward my heart. They haven’t gotten any worse and seem to be going away, but the original spot on the tattoo seems no better. There is some itching, mild irritation, swelling and heat. I thought since my diet change, that it was the metals in the ink (all black) detoxing. I have other tattoos and do not have any bumps, rashes or spots upon them. My idea is that since these tattoos are older (up to 8 years) that the poisons have been circulated. The one on my arm being almost a year old probably still has some of the toxins at the area. The other idea was possible vaccination sites detoxing, but I haven’t had shots since being in the military which was 1990. Plus the effected area is on the front of my arm…not the side where vaccinations are given. Has anyone else experienced something like this? Could this be what is happening? What additional protocol is recommended (topically and internally)? Guest guest
Hi Laura, No I do not believe it is shingles, shingles are extremely, extremely, painful I had a friend that had it and she was in the worst pain imaginable. When you eat such a clean diet the body goes through a deep cellular cleanse. I had many herxheimer effects when I went raw vegan too, in fact it has happened more than I care to remember. I recently got eczema from eating so much coconut and coconut water due to it being a fantastic anti-fungal I was itching so bad I made myself bleed. Detoxing is not pretty, the best way to clear the body of gunk is to do colon hydrotherapy, nothing better on the planet for healing and can help expedite the passing of toxins. Your liver is on overload and needs some help is all. Tammatha - Mike Golden oleander soup Friday, May 29, 2009 7:10 PM Re: Detoxing of Tattoo?? You might posibly have shingles. Guest guest
Shingles is not always extremely painful, though it often is. The way you describe it being on one side of the body and running back toward the midline does sound like shingles. If the bumps get watery, this is likely the case. In the early phase of shingles you might have very little pain. Just keep an eye on it and act as if it is contagious by contact, just to be on the safe side. Guest guest
Thank you Mike. I will keep watching it. There is no discharge at all. It seems to itch more, is hard and red. If it isn’t better or gone by the 16th, I have a doctor’s appt to do some blood work and will have my provider take a look at it. Guest guest
Hi Laura, Mine too was hard and red, it sounds like eczema, it is a detox reaction similar to mine I have had it now for over two weeks. I went to the dermatologist last week just for a diagnosis(of course he wanted to give me steroids).Mine started when I used Dyflucan for my chronic hard to get rid of fungal issue. I have been trying to get rid of it for year now, it is one of the toughest things to get rid of I swear! It won't really show up in the blood work however, it is always good to do blood work on a regular basis. It will pass as the liver helps to move it out of your system. The thing... no kidding that has helped me the most with the itching is Aubrey Organics Rosa Mosquetta Body Lotion, smells amazing and is very emolient, my skin just drank it up. Also been taking LifeForce Nutritionals Liver Rescue#4. Best liver detox caps out there. Good Luck my Dear! Tammatha - Laura oleander soup Saturday, May 30, 2009 12:51 PM RE: Detoxing of Tattoo??
