Guest guest
Is LDN available only by prescription? Thanks, Jill~
Guest guest
yes, but there's online sources that aren't exactly diligent about checking up on the Rx. you buy it in the standard 50mg tabs or caps, then break it down to small doses yourself. if interested in LDN you should, for the best easy path, join one of the LDN groups and read up on the web at links provided from the groups. > > oleander soup > oleander soup On Behalf Of lillisilly > Thursday, May 28, 2009 8:32 PM > oleander soup > Low Dose Naltrexone > > Is LDN available only by prescription? > > Thanks, Jill~
Guest guest
Hi Jill, Naltrexone is normally a prescription drug. If you don't have an MD that will prescribe for you Naltrexone can be purchased online and compounded yourself. The following link will get 50 mg Naltrexone tablets shipped direct to you from European source. http://www.edrugnet.com/showprice.asp?Page=2 & name=R & sname=r & ptype=Brand & bysearch (Revia Brand) The easiest way to compound into Low Dose Naltrexone is to dissolve one 50mg Naltrexone tablet in 100 ml of distilled water. Then measure out 9 ml of the solution each evening. This procedure results in a 4.5 mg dose of Naltrexone which is the dose most DR's/users recommend. You can take sublingually or simply put it in your Green Tea, a glass of water, Essiac Tea, etc just prior to bed time. Liquid LDN tastes best in tea of some type. It has a bitter taste sublingually and/or in plain water. You can also compound LDN yourself into capsules using melatonin or similar as filler. That is a bit more involved to get accurate measurements. Guest guest
There's a great new list that a lady started called ldn for dogs, but it's for people too. There are great resources in the files section, and though it's new, much good info being posted every day. The list owner is experimenting with LDN herself. Join here: LDN_4_Pets/ Samala, Renee ---- if interested in LDN you should, for the best easy path, join one of the LDN groups and read up on the web at links provided from the groups.
