patients the chemicals that could help them ( vitamins, minerals,omega 3

etc...) but push theirs expensive and addictive drugs as your garden variety

ADHD Drugs Induce Hallucinations in Kids

 

Three years have elapsed since FDA medical officers reported the findings of

their comprehensive review of clinical trial data at an FDA pediatric advisory

committee hearing (March, 2006). The review included 49 randomized, controlled

clinical trials in the pediatric development programs, as well as post

-marketing adverse event reports (AERS). The evidence shows that hallucinations

and other psychotic symptoms emerge in children prescribed every one of the ADHD

drugs: In controlled trials, only children taking the drugs suffered

treatment-emergent " Hallucinations involving visual and/or tactile sensations of

insects, snakes, or worms… " whereas none of the children on placebo hallucinated

or became psychotic.

 

Further underscoring that the drugs are to blame: Dr. Andrew Mosholder and

colleagues report, that in 90% of the cases, " there was no reported history of a

similar psychiatric condition. " The authors note: " Patients and physicians

should be aware that psychosis or mania arising during drug treatment of

attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder may represent adverse drug reactions. "

U.S. Doctors are prescribing the antidepressant, Effexor (150mg) for infants

under age one!

 

Suffer the little children for the drug companies and their duly financially

awarded physicians, patient " advocacy " groups and other sychophants must

increase drug sales!

 

These stakeholders in industry have brought us an epidemic of maimed

children who were made to take powerful psychotropic drugs–especially the " wonder

drugs " , antidepressants and antipsychotics.

 

AHRP has received the New Jersey Medicaid record of psychotropic drugs

prescribed for more than 39,000 children aged 0-18.

 

The drugs are mostly being prescribed off-label. Neither their safety nor

efficacy has been demonstrated in children.

 

Doctors are prescribing the antidepressant, Effexor (150mg) for infants under

age one!

Doctors are prescribing antipsychotics such as Risperdal (5mg) for infants under

age one!

Doctors are prescribing antipsychotics such as Seroquel (100mg) for two year

olds

Doctors are prescribing Risperdal in doses ranging from .05mg to 20mg for

dozens of three year old
