Guest guest
MILK ADDED VALUE FOR THE POOR: GROWTH HORMONES > OPINION: > > How Milk that you promote is killing cancer patients ================================================================ GROWTH HORMONES --------------- We are last in the food chain, so we are a sort of ultimate food processor. What I mean is that whatever is in our food we have to somehow process it, or at least we try valiantly until we no longer can. An example of something we have to try and process is bovine growth hormones. Six different anabolic hormones are used for cattle in the United States and Canada to stimulate growth and influence the production of milk. Food Safety and Inspection Service United States Department of Agriculture Washington, D.C. 20250-3700 A Growing Concern Monsanto is the only company presently marketing an FDA approved rBGH. Several studies have shown that milk from rBGH-treated cows contains elevated concentrations of IGF-1 (an insulin growth factor which causes cancer) chemically identical in cows and in humans. Monsanto embarked on a series of large scale veterinary trials on rBGH all over the U.S., and sold milk from these trials to an uninformed and unsuspecting public with the full approval of the FDA. Pasteurization & Bovine Growth Hormones Researchers at the FDA reported in 1990 that IGF-1 is not destroyed by pasteurization and that pasteurization actually increases its concentration in milk. Interestingly enough, no milk dairies have the legal right to label their milk as " Hormone Free " even if the milk is absolutely organic and free from growth hormones. Bovine Growth Hormones and Diabetes BGH has some side effect on humans, it increases the concentration of insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) " (1) " FDA review of genetically engineered milk SCIENCE, 8/24/90, Vol 249 (2) Science, vol. 279. January 23, 1998 (3) The Lancet, vol. 351. May 9, 1998 (IGF-I) Other Side Effect on Humans: Cancer " A strong positive association was observed between insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) levels and prostate cancer risk. " Also (IGF-1) " can affect the proliferation of breast epithelial cells, and is thought to have a role in breast cancer. " " Insulin-like growth factors (IGFs), strongly stimulate the proliferation of a variety of cancer cells, including those from lung cancer. " " Journal of the National Cancer Institute, vol. 91, no. 2. January 20, 1999. Already in 1990, researchers at Stanford University reported that IGF-1 promotes the growth of prostate cells. In January 1998, a report by Harvard researchers confirmed the link between IGF-1 levels in the blood and the risk of prostate cancer. IGF-1 found in milk could be also be a potential risk factor for gastrointestinal cancers declared Dr. Samuel Epstein of the University of Illinois. Note: The sale of reconstituted rBGH is illegal in virtually every developed country with the exception of United States. Why produce more milk when we do not know what to do with it anymore? Since 1991, the law requires the USDA to buy any surplus of butter, cheese, or non-fat dry milk at a support price set by Congress. ====================================================================== > Note :I will not enter in a debate on animal protein , been there, done that; unless i am officially authorized by the group owner. =============================================================== Caution : Meat pushers and dairies pushers hired an army of freelance writers to inundate health sites with anecdotal evidences on the goodness of the product they are paid to promote. Don't be fooled and ask for scientific evidences, any scientific evidence that animal protein is good for your health. In case they provide you with one, double check on " Google scholar " others papers published by the same authors. This will tell you, more or less, who are the authors of the papers, for who they works and how much they can be trusted.. Note : After three years of research :I am still waiting for scientific evidences that animal proteins are good for our health and above 6 % of consumption not killing cancer patients A lot of renegades scientists, low bottom feeders have made theirs wealth writing flawned researches. They are easy to spot and Senator Grassley recently caught recently quite a few in the murky waters of our medical institutions. Remember : Of 1,534 cancer studies on cancer, a third had conflicts of interests declared by the authors at the bottom of theirs researches. If you " Google Scholar " for researches on statins for example , you will be amazed to discover that most authors don't mention theirs conflict of interests at the bottom of their publication. They suffers from the CRS syndrome. Can't Remember S... T
