In a word....Neroli. Diffuse, sniff, massage, perfume, I just can't get

enough when I feel the 'ol blood pressure rising. Pricey, but it doesn't take

much!

How Do You Deal With Stress?

Being that the current events in the world seem to have stressed a lot

of folks out one way or another (emotionally, politically, financially,

etc ...) I was wondering what steps y'all take to deal with stress and

lower its negative effects? Exercise? Herbal teas and baths?

Aromatherapy - diffusing of oils, its use in massages? Etc ...?

To relax try Dr. Schultz Nerve Tonic:

This is the wonderful tonic I just discovered. Order it now and learn to make

your own before it’s illegal. It is SO good. I take it when I’m upset or need to

sleep. 2 droppers in a about 2 oz of water. Ahhhh! I hold it under my tongue and

in my mouth before swallowing. You can feel it numb you as it goes down! Order

by calling 1800Herbdoc:

http://www.800herbdoc.com/abp/shf/nerve.html

Also his students have their own herb store and you get similar remedies for

less. I use many of their products and will learn to make my own from their

kits.

That price is ridiculous!

and Valerian isnt great for everyone- for some it can have an opposite

effect!

Herbs are so specific to the individual, I have a hard time with " across the

board " remedies-

Im glad you like it, though...

Hi Diana :)

Thanks for the input and ...yep, it is a very good idea to learn how to

make the tinctures, and it is REALLY easy to do, and far less expensive.

Another really good thing about making them yourself is you can

customize your blends to really suit your individual needs. One more

great thing about tinctures is that they last for AGES if stored

properly!

You 'aint kidding! When my dad died I was only 17 and really still just

learning about herbs - and I gave my grandmother (his mom) a cup of

valerian root tea to try to help her soothe her nerves (she was

understandably a wreck) - and all it did was relax her bowels cause she

had a major poop explosion a short time after she drank the tea. It was

not the thing for her - and they (her and my aunt and my uncle) never

have listened to a word I've ever said about herbs, or any kind of

" alternative medicines " ever again (even after years of various learning

and training at this point - heck - they won't even listen to Dr. Weil -

Mr. Mainstream America's trusted MD intro to " alternative therapies " ;-p

) In general folks have gotta be careful with those herbal remedies -

and the more herbs they have in them .. the more careful one has to be.

Hi there

I want to make some St John's Wort infused oil. Can anyone advise me where

to find base material that would be suitable? I love the wonderful red

colour, but was most disappointed to find a recent purchase that arrived was

a mossy green colour. On enquiry the supplier could not answer why the red

coloured oil I had always purchased before had been replaced by the mossy

green one. If I can find out where to get the base herb that will result

in a lovely red oil I am quite happy to make an oil infusion or maceration

myself.

Thanks!

Wait until July and make your own with fresh flowering tops...

dried plant wont be effective...

Also, I use EV olive oil and sometimes my SJW oil turns out a deep brownish

red, due to the green of the olive oil...

B Vitamins – Max Stress

Nano B – all natural.

Vitamin D-Mulsion

intra-MAX

Lithium Orotate – natural lithium salts recommend by Dr. Hans Nieper and

very effective. Great to take

before bed for calming a racing mind.

Pure Energy – Serotonin

and Melatonin Production. Serotonin is a neural transmitter which calms the system. Does not

give one energy but definitely helps with stress and also promotes good sleep.

Lavender and Rose Bulgaria essential oils applied to back of neck.

Listen to the Healing CD from the Mozart effect. Use headphones.

Deep breathing exercises.

Walks in the sunshine.

8-10 hours of sleep every night in a dark, cool room.

Eating healthy.

Stay hydrated.

Afternoon at the spa – massage, reflexology, facial, etc. (I don’t get to do this very

often.)

Read an up-lifting book.

Chiropractic adjustment.

Gardening.

A quiet evening with dh.

This is a herbal combination, not homeopathic.

Have you ever tried Bach Rescue Remedy?

I carried Formula 303 in my clinic for a few years. Some people raved about it. Personally, I never felt a thing from it. It was a very individual thing.

It says on the bottle homeopathic but yes, it is valerian root passionflower and magnesium. It is the way it is formulated I believe that is why they call it homeopathic.

Yes, I tried Bach's didn't work for me, however it is great for dogs.

I'm glad this thread is continuing. Laughter can't be matched when it comes to stress relief. I keep funny things that people say and do in my head for times of stress, and then I can retrieve that when the need arises. I look for reasons to laugh, too. I have been blessed with Pugs. Now, all dogs have an innate ability to deal with stress on their own terms.

They have calming signals, things like licking their lips and even yawning that equate to calming another down. And don't let others put stress on you, unless you can think of something funny. Who's on first.....
