Hello everyone.haven't posted here in a while but I do still come

and read the posts as often as possible.A lot has happened since I've

last been here healthwise.I switched TCM doc's and am much happier

now. This fall I successfully( and painlessly) dissolved a kidney

stone to a fine powder with Chinese herbs. It only took 3 months for

the herbs and and acupuncture to work. The bad news is that I found

out that I have another 5mm stone in the other kidney. It's in the

right kidney near the area where the kidney attaches to the

ureter. The ureter is extremely narrow & malformed( so the experts(

western doc's) tell me) and because of it's shape will continue to

form stones there.Soooo, the stone may have been there for a long time

and was hidden from view because the kidney has been swollen. The

stone and and malformed ureter have slowed down the passage of

urine. My questions are #1,Why would kidney stone dissolving herbs

work so quickly on one kidney and not the other and do you think the

herbs need more time to work? The second question is...I've been

thinking of going back to taking tai chi and chi kung classes

again. We all know how powerful these two healing martial arts

are.How likely is it that the stone would try to pass because of the

increase in blood flow to the area?I had tremendous healing results

many years ago in clearing my lungs when I did tai chi on a regular

basis.I'd like to take classes again but I am concerned about causing

a potential problem instead.Right now the stone passing at the size

that is (without being fully dissolved) would be a disaster,

financially and physically.Lithotripsy to blast the stone is not an

option right now because of money.Any thoughts or ideas on this

matter would be appreciated. The herb mixture in pill form that I've

been taking for the stone is called " Passwan " . It has

lygdium japonicum,angelica dahurica,rheum tanguticum,panex psuedo

ginseng,amber,lysimachia christinae thance,andrographis

paniculata,cyathula capitata,ficus simplicissima Lour,millettia

speciosa champ.Thats all the info. Thanks everyone.

Hi Mermaid:

I'll take a try at your first question. There is an

idea that the right kidney controls Yang Water while

the left kidney controls Yin Water.

This is related to the idea of maintaining a balance

between the five elements around the two kidneys and

Ming Men, the acupoint thought to connect them.

Perhaps your herbals worked for one side but not the

other, based on this concept?

I don't know much about Qi Gong but there may be

exercises to help restore that balance.

Kind regards,

Jack
