Guest guest
" (Cupping) is used to suck out toxins as in cases of wasp sting and centipede bite. " (A Handbook of Traditional Chinese Dermatology by Liang Jian-Hui, translated by Zhang Ting-Liang and Bob Flaws, p. 16.) The Shanghai College text mentions " poisonous snake bite " . (p. 447.) The principle is not confined to the East. Western snake bite kits include a rubber bulb that is squeezed and placed over the bite, creating a vacuum which draws the venom out.
