Guest guest
Hello. I have afriend with Epilepsy. I have Tourettes and Bi-Polar. I have attained surprising long term success in curbing the manifestation of my conditions, with nutrition and attention to nerve health. ONe thing similar in all conditions is some form of mylene sheath degeneration (nerves)in the limbic region. Epileptic children can sometimes sidestep epilepsy with ketonic diets. All of this deals with playing with the delicate balance of body electronics and electricity, and essentially the nerves. What should my epileptic friend be doing first-second-third, under the umbrella of TCM. She can not afford to get lush accupuncture every week either. What are the risks of EFA balance and hormone balance in a woman. I could go for hours i think ill stop here. ANYTHING IS APPRECIATED _ SHE IS REACHING OUT FOR HELP TO GET OFF MEDS ONCE AND FOR ALL. Thankyou, Carlos
Guest guest
Hi, Carlos: It's great that your friend is looking into Chinese medicine for help with epilepsy. If you say that she can't afford acupuncture, would she be able to afford herbal medicine? In Chinese medicine, epilepsy is closely related to mania and withdrawal, so the acupoints used to treat them are similar, as are the herbal formulas. Where in the world is your friend located? One simple thing to do is to maintain a good diet, proper sleep habits and to avoid drink and drugs. I had a friend in China who would periodically drink and smoke herb, staying up all night in the process. This usually led to an epileptic episode that would result in his completely forgetting his entire life and identity. He would have to start from scratch, trying to remember who he was and what his life was about. This would happen about every six months or so. The connection between epilepsy and mania greatly interests me, and I have more information, if you or your friend would like to share more.
