Guest guest
Hello Doctor Raffi: Yes, the Ghost Points are quite effective for psychiatric treatments. I have treated myself for the condition known as withdrawal, or " dian kuan " in Chinese. Epilepsy is considered to be related to withdrawal and mania, and may be treated by the Ghost Points. The definition of the Ghost Points varies in the literature, some months ago we had some postings about them. One of the best sources is Lonny Jarret: www.spiritpathpress.com You may try Bob Flaws' Medical Psychiatry. I may even have a GIF of the points if you need. Kind regards, Jack --- doctorraffi <doctorraffi wrote: > Hello dear collegues. > its my first time I'm posting here on chinese > healing web page. > I have a question about The Ghost Treatment > points''13''.anyone with > some tengable knowlege and experience about it? the > literature doesnt > say much about it, yet some practitioners say its so > potent specially > to treat psychiatric cases " liver Qi misting the > mind,Ht Qi xu etc... > I would appreciate any input about it thank you in > advance. > Raffi G (MD.MA.NCCAOM.Dipl.Ac.) > > > >
Guest guest
There is a book entitled, " Soothing The Troubled Mind " that is a good reference for use of the Ghost Points. It has mixed reviews but in my opinion it is definitely worth twelve bucks. All the best, Chris

Guest guest
Hello Raffi: Yes, the sequence is important, and the important techniques are supplementation or reducing. Ideally, the time of day is important as well for certain points. I often use reducing techniques on myself at LR 3 to release negative Qi that tends to build up as a result of weekly massage treatments that tend to push the negative Qi down the channels of the leg. In treating myself for withdrawal, I begin with ST 36 Zu San Li and then go to CV 4 Guan Yuan out of practical considerations, since the muscles may not move once the needles are inserted. I generally use electronic acupuncture with different wavelengths, depending upon the issue. As to the other Ghost Points, there is a slim volume published in Chinese that describes various treatments from well-known doctors for withdrawal, mania and epilepsy. I don't believe this has been translated into English yet.
