There are a number of herbal concoctions that use one or the other. Garlic has uses in other herbal concotions, and it is possible to moxibust on garlic. Garlic (da suan) is used widely in Chinese cuisine, especially in " hot " cuisines such as Hunanese and Sichuan cuisine, and Chinese generally regard food as medicine and medicine as food.
